How do you handle US visitors to your site?

The "gambling" site I am promoting does not accept US customers at all (although backgammon is not gambling but anyway).
So how do to handle US visitors of my site?
Restricting their access?
Or placing a informative text in the footer with a US flag marked with X - meaning US players are not allowed?

I would not restrict access in any other circumstance than you were referring a high degree of fraudsters from a particular country (which obviously is not the case here). The best scenario is if there is a backgammon site you can recommend to US players (is there not one? or have you made a personal decision not to market to the USA?). Otherwise your second suggestion of a line through a us flag in the footer with a line of text would do the job.

If not, don't worry about too much it. Plus that traffic might indirectly benefit you in the long run - a US visitor could link to your site or share it on facebook etc...

I found some sites that do accept users from some US states.

Althought it is not the whole US at least I will get some revenue out of US visitors.

Well it is BGRoom - Part of SkillOnNet, affiliate site EGamingOnline; and Play65 - part of SkillEmpire.
Probably GammonEmpire - part of SkillEmpire also accepts some US players but I haven't got a talk with their affiliate support to confirm it.

I do not restrict access either. I do however make sure I note that the particular site does not accept USA players so I do not waste the users time. Some sites have a popup that says site x does not allow USA players and suggests another site. I like that idea but unfortunatly not tech savy enough to figure how to it. On my list of things of to hopefully lern in the near future.

Rewards Affiliates offers a bounceback link which allows you to redirect any traffic that is banned at our brands back to a link of your choice. Eg if someone from the US clicks a link for Casino Action, they will be redirected to the link you have chosen as your bounce back. This could be a page on your own site, a competitors linking code, or it could be a redirect on your own site which grabs the IP address and sends them somewhere else from there.

Although we don't offer skill games, I thought it would be handy for other people to know who might read this thread and not know about it.

That is really interesting about play65 since they never used to take us players and I don't recall the change.

Why don't you just list the states here instead of fielding dozens and dozens of seperate emails requesting this info....or is it a secret? (if it's so secret I guess players will never know)

I can personally vouch for the rewards bonceback link....to my knowledge they are the ONLY ones that offer this and it works GREAT (sometimes too good since you have to remember to disable it temporarily if you are gonna test your links from the us....lol)

The state who do not permit online gaming are:

For the rest of the states, we do not have any problem promoting our skill games (we also own pool and chess) hence we accept their players and I must give a very warm word about U.S players: they are very high quality players and very loyal to the game. I give them a big thumbs up!

I know for a fact that the U.S. is considering allowing skill games to operate in many other states soon, so letus all look forwards that and I promise to update you all.
