Extremely Worried about the Bill

As a new affiliate webmaster I must tell you guys that i am extermely worried about this ban that Congress will put on online gaming. I mean as an affiliate marketer I have to be concerned because the US market as far as I understand is responsible for close to 50% of the revenue generated by online gaming companies. I personally do not have a webhosting account in the United States but because of this bill it is going to make it even harder for affiliates like myself to market effectively. We now have to turn our attention to the European market but one can only do so much marketing in Europe! Do you think that there is a serious concern from our perspective as affiliates to these online casinos? I would just like you guys to share your views on this matter!! Do you think this is something that will really cause a significant drop in the revenue generated by online gaming and eventually cause the online gaming industry to fall or is it just something that will only have an effect for about a couple of months and then afterwards everything be back to normal. Please share your views on this matter. At this point in time I am even wondering why I even bothered to start this online casino marketing, from the looks of it it seems as if I just wasted my money!

I own a unique bingo site.... Bingo is still not considered gambling in the U.S. But I am afraid bingo sites will also be cut off from U.S. customers.... I always get lumped in with casinos, and have to explain BINGO is not legally considered gambling in the U.S.

IF they do cut off U.S. customers from gambling, and IF bingo doesn't get cut off - Then BINGO sites are going to really be worth alot of money - since the online casinos will want to buy them to stay in the gaming business....

The world is a big place and does not just consist of the US. Yes, we will all see a revenue drop because of this bill. However if you have a good site or sites and put the work in, you will make a nice living marketing online gambling sites.

Well, I'm still pretty new to the biz... but 80% of my traffic is from US citizens. So, I can expect my profits will drop SIGNIFICANTLY with the ban placed on US players. I could re-market my site to the European market... but I already have so much else going in with my career and several other (non-gambling) websites I own. So, I just don't have the time or drive to update my site for the Euro market. My hosting expires at the end of the year... if I don't have it sold at that point I'll just let the hosting expire and I'll hold onto the domains and the code perhaps for another time.

Are there any political parties or lobbyists fight this at all?
I am also new to this niche, but have gone through this when I was subcontracted to do porn sites a few years ago. Yep, there was a scare on those getting banned, but the good ol 1'st ammendment saved it.

I do web desgin, hosting and some seo, but all of my seo skills have always been focused on US traffic and am limited in it nationally. The hard thing is marketing national from the US, but having to ignore US customers.

Also, does anyone know that if there is a such thing as the current businesses being "grandfathered" in?

Also, how do you ban a business that we have had free trade with from another country? Gambling is not illegal activity, with the exception of it being legal in some states and the lottery! Not all states condone or allow gambling, but there isn't a ban on flights to Vegas from states that don't allow it.

Hm. Interesting, how that bill applies to non-US citizens, and non-US casino sites
Well, banks still can decline Visa/MC transactions with gambling product code, but not neteller/stormpay/etcetcetc. But what's with that?
So, why all so worried about this bill?
