    Lightbulb Twitter and Website SEO

Hi, we've recently opened a Twitter account for our website. We are willing to put some effort into it, posting quality posts (content from our website and relevant news).
Have you seen any success with it? Traffic increase, DR? Do people engage on your Twitter accounts?

As I understand it Twitter and other socials doesn't do much for your DR, but it's a solid source for a bit of traffic here and there. The conversion rates from twitter seem to be good from my experience. Although I personally don't put as much energy into it as other social channels.

I join the previous post - nothing of relative to SEO, maximum as an additional source of traffic to the site

There was this exact question at LAC yesterday in one of the SEO sessions, conclusion was that it will do nothing for your DR but in terms of brand building, community building and giving you the chance to have your content picked up by websites that matter it can be worthwhile.

Banging out a thousand affiliate links per week isn't likely to achieve much of the above, but being a little more creative can work.

You can use Twitter as a tool for building trust between your website and your audience. For SEO, the use of links to the pages of the site in social networks is appreciated better, since they are perceived by the opinions of quite specific living people.

It takes a lot of time to be successful on Twitter. It's difficult to balance because the content is neglected by that amount.

One thing that I noticed in regards to Twitter and SEO, is that it helps somehow to speed up the indexing of the new pages, so as long I make a new landing page I push it via a link from Twitter, and google indexes it faster. No positive DR increase or some other benefits to my knowledge.

For traffic aspects, I think you really need an SMM manager who will be able to make some good strategies that might work.

Social signals can give you a boost when you go viral but it is not going to give your site more authority. I would focus on DR and RD from Ahrefs. I would only do it if you are going for the social traffic itself, which can be great. But that is just my opinion.
