Default I want to go on a cruise trip again

I went on a cruise trip to the United States a few years ago.
Since I went from Japan, it cost more than $ 10,000 in total, but it was a dream time.
I envy the locals as they can get on the boat for about $ 1000.
Next time I would like to go on a cruise trip in Europe or Southeast Asia.

Just wait for this Covid thing go away, and of you go! During these hard times, cruises are no, no. All the best!

Yeah, the early memories I have of the pandemic was of these cruise ships sitting in the sea with nobody getting on or off - sadly you're a sitting duck on one of those until we're shot of this whol virus!

Never seen the appeal of a cruise even before corona days...

Totally right. I remember them too. There were a couple of big ships, if I remember...

I hear you. I've only been on 1 cruise (5 day Western US to Mexico and back) and was so much fun. Want to do a longer one, went way too fast. Hoping to tie it in with a trip to Australia, then do a cruise there after Covid is a distant memory.

    Thank you everyone for posting.

Sure, we can't cruise now because of Covid.

But when Covid calms down, I want to ride again.

I went to Mexico last time. I really enjoyed the transparent kayak.

Australia and the Galapagos Islands are good destinations. I will make it a candidate for the next time.

    Hi Gekiatsu,

We live in the island of Malta, in the middle of the Mediterranean sea, which is a frequent stop for may cruise lines.

This makes it very convenient to use these type of cruisers... few years ago we did a trip around greek islands, stopping at Athens, Mykonos, Rhodes, Izmir (in the coast of Turkey, which was unexpectedly our favorite stop) and Istambul. The whole trip was amazing.

This year we booked a coast around the Adriatic see stopping at Dubrovnik and all the coast of Croatia, and we are really looking forward for it. Cruise line is Mein Schiff (TUI) which offer All Inclusive for 2 adults + 2 kids for 3.200€... I'll let u know how was it
so you can have a better picture of the different options across the Mediterranean sea.

Have done a cruise and although enjoyable not what I was really expecting. The cruise I was on in the Caribbean dropped us off at different locations but you never had the time to really explore, or it was a private beach/compound and time was very limited. Even before the pandemic these ships can be floating petri dishes.

For now cruise ships are off my radar.

A great idea, a trip is an excellent way to distract from problems and let your brain flutter, relax.

I think once COVID is over there is going to be a massive boom of tourism. Top of my bucket list: The Northern Lights (on a cruise would be awesome).

Yes, I've been on a number of cruises, mostly around the Caribbean and with mixed feelings.

Once, on a 7-Day Princess Cruise, I was sick for about 2 days - and this was even before Covid.

Another time, we stopped in Jamaica and barely had enough time to walk up and down the street. That was a whole lot less interesting than staying on the island.

But once in the Cayman Islands, I was able to squeeze in a scuba diving excursion.

I find the only advantage of cruises is being able to “taste” a number of destinations all at one time. But the cruise itself is actually boring unless you like to sit around the pool all day or drink all night. You either get a painful sunburn or a costly hangover.

Cruises are mostly locked out originating from the US, but I do commend the ships for stepping up in their help evacuating people from St. Vincent.

I pray that the cruise ship casino will be back and return to the original world as soon as possible.

A few years ago, I had an interesting experience, a kind of cruise trip on a Russian nuclear icebreaker from Murmansk to the North Pole. An unforgettable experience. Highly recommend.
