Best News of the Day about Damar Hamlin

Not sure if this came out yesterday or not, but I saw it today.

I see that Damar Hamlin is improving at the hospital.

He is awake and gaining some mobility back in his hands and feet, and clearly aware. In fact one of the first things he wanted to know from the doctors was who won the game.

For those who do not follow the NFL (I heard there was someone) Hamlin is a Buffalo Bills player who had suffered a cardiac arrest during Monday night's game against the Bengals.

Great news, saw footage of what happened the following morning here in the UK on twitter - let's hope he makes a full recovery.

Different circumstances I know, however those of you who follow soccer may recall Christian Eriksen having a cardiac arrest in a match back in 2021, yet he's recovered now to the extent that he made the Denmark squad for the recent World Cup - so there is hope.

He's making good progress according to ESPN, although still needs oxygen. Guess it will take some time given the severity of it.

This is fantastic news, they said on the broadcast against the Bengals that he still he still requires oxygen as his recovery continues, but it's amazing that he's able to be back around the team. Modern medicine is incredible.
