How to track my site's traffic
Hi Guys,
Any ideas about what tracking software to use to track my traffic? I specifically want to be able to see the 'route' visitors undertake when they browse my site: where people who came from a certain traffic source go. Also, I need to know what links people click when they exit my site. E.g. what external links on my site the visitors click. The cost should be a few bucks per month...
What software do you guys use?

The best way is to analize your logs. My fav is Alterwind Loganalizer. Very good statistic including visitors path, search terms, etc., but after first free month it requires $75 for registration
. I'm not sure if it is possible to track outside links clicks, except for putting special scripts (you often can see links like site/link21.php - that's it).

I have always used HitBox, the free version, but it doesn't do everything you're asking for up there.

There a many different sites that offer their counters, but it's not very good variant. You have to install them on all your pages and they hardly can compete with your logs (free versions are limited, full versions are expensive and they can't beat log analizing anyway).
If you want something free you can use such loganalizers as Analog or Webtrend.
