How long do you think Binary industry will survive?
Hopefully not very long.

Also how long Visa and MC will survive, if less and less goods and services can be bought with them and fees from cc transactions are forcibly slashed by governments?
If you talk to God, you are praying; If God talks to you, you have schizophrenia.
I think its a stretch to say "less and less goods and services" can be bought with a credit card. From inside the gambling industry it may appear that way but I would imagine with the ubiquity of online shopping these days that the reality is that they can be used "more and more". I certainly don't see them going away any time soon.
I read an article today about some Aussie guys who run a binary options site in conjunction with an Israeli. They are being pursued by ASIC here which is a serious deal as they regulate the financial services markets. And they recognise binary options for the "investment" scam that they are. We can only hope that action like that speeds the demise of this crooked industry.
I would bet that most people would say that whole gambling is a crooked industry... the same as binary options.
But one has to put morality aside. It is not important if people are so stupid, so they have to be protected; or if right of people are restricted by usurpers.
Bigger share of economy really is full of desired scams and other bullshit. And people are willing to pay for that. But at the same time people can not buy those bullshits through legal channels (which are also restricted aka cashless economy).
I am saying less and less goods and services can be bought with a credit card not from inside of gambling, far from that. There are new attempts to restrict new niches. Even in a soft forms, that are out of law. Like Operation Chokepoint:
- Ammunition Sales
- Cable Box De-scramblers
- Coin Dealers
- Credit Card Schemes
- Credit Repair Services
- Dating Services
- Debt Consolidation Scams
- Drug Paraphernalia
- Escort Services
- Firearms Sales
- Fireworks Sales
- Get Rich Products
- Government Grants
- Home-Based Charities
- Life-Time Guarantees
- Life-Time Memberships
- Lottery Sales
- Mailing Lists/Personal Info
- Money Transfer Networks
- On-line Gambling
- Pawn Shops
- Payday Loans
- Pharmaceutical Sales
- Ponzi Schemes
- Pornography[9]
- Pyramid-Type Sales
- Racist Materials
- Surveillance Equipment
- Telemarketing
- Tobacco Sales
- Travel Clubs
... even the legal marihuana vendors and producers have difficulties with their bank accounts.
So it is quite the opposite. Gambling is only a small part. We are not an exception. Human consumption is on the path from blacklist of some restricted items to whitelist of few allowed goods and services.
I am far from saying that it is good or bad or anything else. It is an opportunity to make money for sure. And it is a gamechanger. And also - back to the topic - it is a disaster for credit cards and banks and good for alternative money.
If you talk to God, you are praying; If God talks to you, you have schizophrenia.
