Focal Click new stats

Focal Click has turned on the new stats backend, some time today and maybe just the last few hours, i think yesterday it was still the stock Playtech stats backend.

I took a quick browse through the marketing tools section and that certainly needs some tweaking.

It took a little messing about until I could actually get ANY creatives to show.

Forget trying to get banners for tags that seem logical like slots, blackjack etc....but using the word casino did ok.

It doesn't look like the stats data has been imported properly yet, but maybe some stats such as clicks etc may only show from this point forward, I do not know and have not been in contact with a rep about this so maybe others here can shed a little more light on that.

None of my existing profiles have been imported and I am hoping I do not have to start from scratch with that again because it is often easier to just replace casinos on sites with existing campaigns/profiles at OTHER groups.

By the way, this is yet again another example of a group changing everything and not notifying affiliates of the impending change, and the fact that years and years worth of stats just may have floated away into thin air presents me with the decision as to whether to just move on to groups that did not do this, or at least provided me with a way to recover old stats and campaign data.

Had this been disclosed in advance and not only days before happening, we would have had the opportunity to get the stats and put them in a spreadsheet or something so we could go through them over time like we could if they are available in the backend.

If FocalClick had in fact disclosed this in advance......I missed the email and .....well this is another reason why I like dealing with groups that are active at the GPWA as I am pretty sure this was not discussed here.

Following up on the last e-mail sent to you concerning Focal Click’s migration, we have now completed the work needed for you to begin using the new Focal Click platform.

With that said, we are aiming for October 7th to be the “switch over” day whereby when you log into Focal Click, you will arrive on the new platform. This is the date we are aiming for, but as would be expected we will inform you accordingly next week with confirmation.

Now that we are on the verge of working with the new platform, please allow us to detail some FAQ’s which should answer the most common questions:

Will my referral traffic be accounted for during Focal Clicks migration?

The old (current) Focal Click reporting platform will continue to track all referral traffic up and gaming until the 14th of October. Which should give you enough time to make the necessary changes and change old links which is absolutely required by you to do. We will keep in communication throughout the process.

Again, as long as you change your links before the 14th of October every click sent to Omni or Fly Casino will be logged.

Do I need to do anything other than change my links over?

No. We’ve done everything for you. Unless you want to set up profiled tracking links all you need to so is login, go to the marketing tools section and copy and paste your new link(s) to your website(s)

Can I keep promoting the exclusive offer attached to my Focal Click account?

Absolutely! When you login to your affiliate account the creatives you see will be relevant to the casino offers you are currently promoting. For exclusive offers please contact me directly and I will set it up for you.

What about my balances?

Not to worry! Focal Click will be closing all balances on our current system as normal. You will be able to see your balance as of September closing. We will then transfer over your closing balances to the new platform prior to your arrival there. We will follow up with new withdrawal procedures shortly.

I’m not sure how to use Mexos.

Don’t worry! We’ll be happy to help you with any questions that you might have. Overall, we think that you will find the new system very easy to navigate. But, get in touch with us via e-mail of you have any questions!

I searched through my inbox and did not see anything from them.

Elliot has also responded to me that he sent emails out and old affiliates over at AGD, but no one said a word here as far as I can tell....and if I missed it it is clearly my mistake.

I have trouble understanding why affiliate teams do not think it's important to make sure all affiliates are notified of changes.

And I also question where affiliate departments thinks it is ok to set our schedules. Giving an affiliate a week at best to make changes to links is just not enough time for many affiliates. (based on the above posted email the change was supposed to be 10-7 with a maximum time limit to 10-14)

I've had 3 emails about this impending change over the past month or so - maybe yours are going to spam Universal?

I'm finding this interesting because I always thought mexos was shite but already I am seeing a lot more in this one that in the ones I have used to date. Early days of course but FC has always been a well managed program so expect it to be fine and any niggles sorted quickly.

Thanks for your feedback, as always its gratefully received.

Firstly, regarding the marketing assets. I aware they are quite bare at the moment. We do have plans to heavily expand on not just the banner selection currently available but more dynamic marketing assets, which we feel would compliment an Omni Casino or Fly Casino review for example.

Regarding historical data. As I mentioned in my reply to your e-mail, which I received today, unfortunately we couldn’t migrate this over to the Mexos platform. However as detailed in my e-mail to you, I’d be more than happy to send you all of your referral history upon your request.

I’m sorry you feel we didn’t do our upmost to contact you regarding Focal Clicks migration. We have sent four e-mails to our registered affiliates over the past month as well as kept Focal Clicks sub-forum over at Affiliate Guard Dog updated with information on the various stages during our migration.

As stated in my e-mail, if you have further questions don’t hesitate to get in contact.

I am glad you saw it important to post at AGD but honestly to ignore posting something as important as changing the stats backend here at the GPWA which has such a small amount of affiliates....well....gee....

I agree Simmo, this version of the updated Mexos does look to have a handful of additional features, and the navigation is laid out a little better, and my guess is it might be a little more mobile or at least smaller screen friendly.

Rick, Whilst I agree that it is hell of a frustrating trying to change the links on 140 sites and creating new profiles for each of these sites within a week , I have to be fair and say that Focal Click was actually one of the few programs that has given quite a bit of notice in advance, sent regular emails AND most importantly seem to have transferred our players and balances across correctly which is actually unusual, because I find most other Affiliate programs always seem to drop the ball when it comes to transferring existing players across.......

Does anyone know if we will have to worry about links being removed or disabled in the future?

I have taken the time to create a few profiles and have been taking a look at the links and it appears to me (unless I am mistaken) there is no default text link available.

I also see there is no way to redirect the visitor directly to the download.

New stats, less link features.

I guess we can just keep going back and changing links over and over again.

I've got the same two problems. Also, it doesn't appear possible to edit a campaign name once created.

Thanks for that Fiction, I have not yet tried to edit a profile.

But I have spent a little time getting links etc, and what I have found that works decent is to create a list of profiles in advance.

Then chose the casino you need links for, and a banner etc.

Then generate the code. If you need the code for say 10 profiles, grab the code and put it into a spreadsheet or text file or whatever, and then just change the profile in the dropdown on the left, the code will re-generate for the chosen profile, grab that code and repeat the process until you have them all.

I noticed that only a few characters change from one profile to the next, and each named profile has a few common characters.

My test clicks have shown that it often takes a few hours for the clicks to show, but I have not been clearing cookies or doing extensive testing other than verifying the links work and go to the home pages etc.
