Although I do not honestly believe it will hit zero, it could continue to drop more over time where it might be very difficult for the company to survive in it's current form

If an affiliate program is not small affiliate friendly (especially small US Affiliate), then they are NOT Affiliate Friendly!
Here is another story on Facebook's valuation....this one is a little more entertaining to read in my opinion....lol

Both articles made interesting points, but nothing particularly surprising.
Facebook makes no quantifiable product and offers a service that at best is non-essential. It's really difficult to monetise it without flooding it with adverts that will drive users away in droves or charging for accounts. A friend of a friend owns a pool cleaning business in the states that went bust recently. When everything's flush, people will actually pay someone else to do things like clean their pool and cut their grass. When things go bad and money's tight these are the first services to go. How high up the 'first to go' list do you think facebook accounts would be?
I'll admit i'm very bias on this one - i've only recently started using facebook at all and only for commercial reasons. I actually consider it a bit of a plague on all our houses, indulging the populations needs to feel wanted and popular without them building any real relationships with anyone. And i really don't care what my friends had for lunch today!

I've used Facebook for a while but it does annoy me - some people put their whole lives on there!
2 keys for Facebook to become/remain successful moving forward:
F-Commerce & monetizing the mobile users.
If F-Commerce takes off, they'll be OK.
If mobile ads start (and people still continue to surf on their iPhones), then they'll be OK.
If these don't happen.....don't expect their stock to ever get back to 38$/share.
Love the fairy tale spin on the story!
Harry, I don't fully agree with you.
Yes those ads have to happen and yes people need to continue to surf but....
I do not think mobile ads are near as effective as other forms of advertising and if people do not click the ads they will not be renewed.
People have already shown they do not click ads while facebooking.

if drops under $1 it possible could get delisted from NASDAQ.
sometimes companies do a reverse split to get the price back over $1 to keep from being delisted.
i dont think so that faceboojk will hit zero..its nice social site as i have not seen till now any site which might get as many members as facebook get i less time
Hello,
last year German biggest credit investigation company (Schufa) wanted access to Facebook user data.
Facebook said "O.K.", but public protest was so massive here in Germany that the plans were abandoned.
Now the Facebook App is coming.
Finally, a spying tool.
With the wrong settings ...
Facebook can see when you travel where what you are buying, contact data of the mobile phone etc.

With the powerful advertisement techniques, I don't think Facebook has ever or will ever face the same downfall which happened with orkut. It was said before also but with the timeline feature, things changed again.

Facebook...what a wonderful place.
