Having to explain to people outside the industry what you do, and them never understanding it so you just say “marketing”

Same the other side of the fence too Elaine, even people I've told 10 times still ask 'so exactly what is it you do again...?' every now and then! 'Internet marketing' is now the simple, catch-all answer that tends to move the conversation swiftly on to something else

I sent this around the office and one of the guys said "I see you do the movement in the picture of number 6 at least once or twice a day.

Number 2 and 3 also happen on a daily basis.

For girl AM's: being asked "what you are wearing" while discussing on Skype various ideas that you spent 4 hours developing.

(An AM friend of mine told me that it happened to her numerous times).

I especially loved number 2 about newbie affiliates with no traffic demanding ridiculously high CPAs. That's just hilarious

As a female AM I have also been proposed to on so many occasions too.

Sometimes when you've known an affiliate for a long time they like to video skype with you so their kids can say hi etc. So after awhile you don't even think about it and you just accept the video chat and SO many times I have accepted and it is an affiliate sitting there with his **** out. We are in an open office so everyone can see everyone's screens. One time I hung up on a guy and he kept trying to call me back over and over again.
