I had a conversation with an affiliate magazine author and he said he's got around 2k affiliate registered for his newsletter letter and magazine.
I'm only getting the GPWA newsletter and i can't really say I'm reading it.

I reguarly check igbaffiliate.com, affiliateinsider.com and sbcnews.co.uk, but getting a bit tired of the amount of advertisments and shady SEO articles sbcnews.co.uk has been posting lately![]()
I read the iGB Affiliate magazine mainly when it gets sent through, tends to be some interesting and useful stuff in there.
I save the magazines for plane journeys and pool reading. That unfortunately hasn't happened in a while. So they have been read in the garden.
Yes, I do take time to read the magazines when relaxing. These days much better than what is on TV.

Yes, I am quite new to it all and find most of it fascinating.
I love to read them when I have some spare time. As I have so much to learn, it's a one of the ways to find out some things regarding the business.

In AGB Affiliates Magazine sometimes you can get very useful information.
I tend to have a look at affiliate magazines; igb, sbc, focusgaming, egr etc. It's a good way to keep updated with the industry especially those related to legislations.
We are working on finishing touches for the next issue of the GPWA Times Magazine, and it will be going to the printer, and mailed out to current subscribers pretty quickly after we get it back. If you would like to receive it in the mail, simply make sure we have your mailing address, which is very easy. In the top navigation on the GPWA website, simply select "My Magazine Subscription" from under "My Account" and fill in the requested information. We mail the magazines out for free. Alternatively, if you have any questions or any difficulty filling in the form, you can just send me a pm and I will be happy to take care of it for you.

I read GPWA Times. Besides that, I quick-scan some of the magazine to see if there's something interesting.
What bothers me is the shitload of cheap marketing bla bla.
It should be much quicker this time for two reasons. First, we won't be leaving for a trade show at the time it comes back from the printer, so that won't interfere with distribution. Second, because all of the near-term distribution will be via the postal service, getting it in the mail will be critical in terms of our distribution plans.

The affiliate magazines gave me a lots of inspiration a few times already. Just the SEO services are an expensive trap - from my experience

I actually turned down the "opportunity" to get featured in a biggie the other day. zero value. ["industry" but pdf, no link]
major gripe: most pretend to be affil friendly then they use your news with 0 attribution, actively stripping links out, for example. 2 faced....

I always enjoy reading the excellent GPWA Times Magazines the most as a first priority and then sometimes the iGB Affiliate Magazines.
That gives me the gist of news to keep me updated regarding what’s going on in this industry.
