Default 32Red Pulls out of Australia

Literally just received an email about it:

We are writing to inform you that as of midnight AEST on Monday 3rd April, TTRpartners.com and its associated brands will no longer be accepting registrations from Australian players. As a result, we request that with immediate effect you cease to promote our brands to Australian traffic and any links and promotional merchandise are removed from your site.

This is the first step in TTRpartners.com ceasing to operate in the Australian market. At this stage you will continue to earn revenue share from any existing Australian players you have referred, however we will continue to keep you updated on further developments in due course.
    First of many perhaps?

I have talked to some Casinos who are pulling out but I have also talked with a few that are now entering the market. Where some see regulatory risk, others are seeing opportunity. The ones that I talked to who decided to pull out, indicated that they are looking at an IPO and don't want complications with their IPO process. They don't want to complicate things.

Perhaps NetEnt games will just be not available anymore in Australia. Having NetEnt games blocked is perhaps way more effective than whatever penalty or advertisement ban.

32Red Plc pulled out because the company that purchased said Plc, has interests in an AU sportsbook. The AU Interactive Gambling Bill has zip to do with the decision to pull-out. Their AU gaming license prevents them from being connected to, or operating an off shore casino etc.

And for the record, so everyone is 100% clear.

The AU Gambling Bill hit a brickwall a week or so ago, when Credit Card Blocking was sneakily added. Now the AU BILL has been forced back to the start, to commence the long and arduous Political process again. Gov., sits again in May 2017. However with the upcoming 2017/18 Budget (start of finacial year in AU is July 1'st), my guess is the Budget will take centre stage (ahead of AU Gambling Bill). So I honestly can't see the AU Gambling Bill being passed till at least August/Sept 2017, if it gets passed at ALL now.

Only have to turn our eyes and memories to how long it took the UIGEA to be signed.
