I can look into that matter but I'll need the full header of the message sent to my email (affiliates@7red.com) first so I can confront that affiliate.

Thanks for your prompt 2+ week response time ... you sure do seem to be on top of things.

If you review the thread referenced above you will see that several other "reputable" programs have already addressed this issue and the spam has stopped.

Due to heavy work loads and the world cup I didn't have time to read your original post and that is the reason for the delay.

I'm glad you find the subject of spam important as I do but I think it is rude of you to imply that we're not dealing with it.

"important" issues such as being one of 20 different links on a spam message always get my attention, especially during the world cup.

So the World Cup is a valid explanation as to why a GPWA approved sponsor program can ignore the code of conduct? I'll get out my magnifying glass and look for the small print.

I didn't ignore the subject or any code. I actually asked for more information which means I am dealing with it and not ignoring it.

Again, your accusations are rude and inappropriate and you're pointing fingers with no basis.

I am glad to cooperate with GPWA by finding out information about a spammer but I do it when I find the time for it. Answering your thread a bit late doesn't make me blind or ignorant for the subject.

I think you got it wrong. We have a strict anti spam policy and we're doing our best to prevent spam.

I didn't mean it to sound as we don't find the subject important but that we're only 1 of 20 links on that message and you address the subject as we caused it.

You imply that we are allowing that to happen and that is simply not true.

The GPWA code of conduct states that "Sponsor will promptly respond to any complaint forwarded by the GPWA or by a GPWA affiliate member on behalf of the affiliate or on behalf of a visitor to a website operated by the affiliate" ...

Clearly, as you have stated - this issue wasnt important enough for you to promptly respond to, because - you were 1 of 20 and the World Cup was goin on ...

Since I replied to your post with good will once I noticed it I believe I've acted exactly according to GPWA code.

It is possible that you misunderstood my first post. I'm not a native English speaker and that happens from time to time.

I wish you had asked me for my intention before accusing and flaming. If you think 7Red doesn't worth your time based on a delayed reply to your post I guess you're on top of things Best of luck to you.

I am getting spam from someone the sender pretending to be Best Slots.

The sending mail server is mtaout22.012.net.il

The sender used my first name in the email so this is clearly a purchased/rented or traded list that came from a casino or program.
The affiliate link is hidden on a page at xxhttp://mailthenet.net/link.php?xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The opt-out also links to the same domain.

Since I never opted-in to this jokers spam requesting me top now opt out is nothing but spam....

The affiliate id of the sender is
xxhttp://www.7red.com/?affid=12580

Sending spam to people and then forcing them to opt out of a list they never opted in to in the first place is done by the worst kinds of spammers....and when they are stupid enough to spam other affiliatres they need a serious talking to....

Thank you for that Rick. Looking into it. Are you positive the affiliate id is 12580 ? I wouldn't like to accuse someone in error
