We received this today, can anyone explain what it means "branded traffic" ?

Dear Partners,

Starting from September 1, 2025, the updated version of the 888STARZ Partners Terms & Conditions will come into effect.


Key updates include:
- revised rules for the use of promotional materials;
- updated policy for branded traffic: starting from 01.09.2025, it will be paid exclusively under the RevShare model with a fixed cap of up to 10%.


Traffic generated before August 31, 2025, will be calculated under the previously valid rules. The full updated Terms & Conditions will be available on our website from September 1, 2025.

I really find those guys out of mind.

They came up, stealing branding from 888 and Bitstarz to get some SEO advantage.
And I bet they fuc*** it up and now looking to negotiate new deals with the more successful guys.

In case you work with them, I would let explain them in detail what do they call "branded traffic" ...

Edit: usually i would call "branded traffic" if i run a domain "22betcasinoindia.io" with intent to outrank 22bet in India. Some operator doing fine with those tactics but majority not.

In case of the 888bitstarz guys, I WOULD BET ... if you rank with your domain.com/888starz-casino-india-review ... they call that branded, just to call it a T&C infringment. I don't trust them any further than a pig can shi**.

If it’s true that branded traffic also includes a review page on an affiliate site, that’s really outrageous and unfair. I’ve posted it here so they can respond - hopefully they will. I’ve also sent them an email, so let’s see what happens.

Got reply from the team, it's very specific for affiliates who are doing this:

this rule applies specifically to sites that are created under our brand - that is, websites that replicate or imitate our brand identity)

So it's not relevant to other affiliates that do organic seo etc

But anyway, its kind of funny if a company clearly take advantage from other brands property, now tries to protect something that never was belong to them. It would be funny press if a Vietnam car business comes with all new "AudiBenz" in 2026

Strange policy to allow ANYONE to "replicate or imitate our brand identity" instead of restricting or excluding the practice completely.
