Lucky you! Where are you from (or where company is if your AdSense account is corporate)?
In my account I even don't see opt-in checkboxes, I know about them only from Google's manual.

I'm in England. I did actually get the ads banned from my site, but after an appeal, I won and they were reinstated. It did take them nearly three months to re-enable the ads, but now it is on their 'safe' list providing I stick to their terms of course.
This includes having affiliate text links on the same page, just state when (if) you are able to talk to them, that the links are affiliate links.
If you need help with the opt-in/out stuff, let me know and I'll try and talk you through it.
Both adsense and affiliate are good.
But you are free to choose an affiliate twice or more. Once you get banned in adsense - its unreversible.
i think gambling ads are not allowed by adsense
To make any serious money with Adsense you need to have serious traffic to your site and work in a niche that has a high CPC.
These two are absolutely essential requirements to making any real money.
It depends on your efforts, I would go for adsense.
Since Google changed the terms of the gambling policy, I thought I would revive this thread.
Between 1p and £40ish. The average tends to be around the 80p-£2 per click. The 1p clicks are usually bottom placed text ads with no bidders. These are very rare, as are the very high value clicks. It also fluctuates massively depending on the time of year. Holiday times for example are popular with gambling advertisers. After Christmas is lowest paying time, up to the end of February. If you are thinking of using Adsense, you are probably best to wait until the middle of Feb, to give the ads time to settle in.What sort of price per click do gambling portals make off Ad Sense?
