    Default Advewrtising suggestions?

    Hello,
Anybody have some "Good" ideas on where on the Net to advertise?

I only have a few hundred to start with so I'm hoping there is something out there for the newbies.

    Thanks,

I've tried GoClick.com and received my hits but nothing

I made sure sure I was in the TOP 5 on all searches using my key words, and was able to keep it at 28 cents or less, by the way most of my clicks have come at just 11 cents per click.

What I've noticed though and maybe its not good, I don't know cause I'm new at this is that most of my clicks have come from affiliates of goClick.com,

They get 95% of the traffic from affiliates, so that seems correct.

I trialled GoClick a while back with top positions in several major keyphrases.

    Never again.

Consider this: With a PPC who carries and affiliate program that put's that many search boxes on affiliates sites, the affiliate, like us are obviously looking to make money, hence the clicks. Now, I'm not sure if go click has any type of limits set to limit the number of times an affiliate can click on the same link or not, but even if they do, if each affiliate clicked on your link just one time to earn their share of that 11 cents, that could wipe you out pretty quick. I think if I were going to try advertising this way, I would definitely stick with a ppc that doesn't offer an affiliate program...

Like Fiction I tried GoClick a while back. Hits were delivered and that was it - no downloads at all.

I agree. Make sure the PPC has no affiliate program.

You just kind of have to look around on the internet. A previous post, ( I forget where in the forum) I thinks nascar1 wrote it though, talked about ppc's. A very common ppc cgi script is out there. This program is identified as such when you click on the "signup" link, it takes you to a page www.domain.com/cgi-bin/signup.cgi or www.domain.com/signup.cgi or, to perform a search you are taken to the page www.domain.com/smartsearch.cgi these sites are popping up ALL OVER the internet.

What I am getting at is this, these engines all offer affiliate programs for searches. The engines that carry these listings fill all the blank space with listings from search feed, or revenue pilot (Go Pilot) While there may be a good many of these engines out there that will drive traffic to you, there are more of them out there, that won't. Overture is by far the best "known" ppc out there today, but keywords there, for the nature of what we are doing, come at a very high price. In some cases as much as 20.00 per click. LookSmart has converted their system to a ppc model as well. I believe the bids on keywords there start at 15 cents or so per click. In my opinion, and I am sure there are others that will disagree with me, I believe I would concentrate my efforts into the larger engines, working on optimising your site, linking with others, etc. This is what I should have done, and would have done long ago had I had more time to put into it when I first started up with it. Anyway, if you still want to go forth with ppc advertising, there's a website out there that rates and ranks them, called payperclicksearchengines.com There are a couple of sites that I have tried with questionable results. I am not into bashing other sites in public, but if anyone wants to contact me, I will answer in a private email.
