Affiliate Commissions Donations to Charity

How many of you donate some of your earnings/commissions on a regular basis to charity?

There are a ton of worthwhile causes out there and it is very important I believe when you get involved in donating to a cause you actually understand the cause, as well as get a sense of well being by giving your donations. I have recently started giving to DEC as well as a childrens center in the Ukraine and although only a couple of hundred a month at tops I would be interested to know which charities other affiliates donate to and what % of earnings is a reasonable amount.

No one has a charitable spirit here? Anyone got any thoughts on this?

I was doing this on my forum. Members could pick the charity of their choice every month. I was donating $25 a month and was about to ask programs to pitch in but then I had to change platforms.

I'm settled in on the new forum and about to get it started again. If any programs want to contribute, let me know.

We donate every month to Redcross ,kiva.org and since 2008 we donate living cost for one year to the local homeless shelter who picks a family or individual on our behalf.We use to sell some text links to help this project but in 2011 we are not doing that and funding it 100% ourselves.
I get more from the local causes as we actually have met the people whose lives we have changed.

My site, at dreamwalkergroup.com gives 40% of commissions to literary causes -- not exactly charity and maybe not of interest to a lot of people. But it's better than just buing through the affiliate site's web stores directly, because then NOTHING goes to literary causes. And, as you can see with all the local bookstores closing, the literary community -- writers, editors, publishers -- really need our help!

At OLBG.com we run a charity scheme for members. They can give their tipster comp winnings, or refer a friend earnings to charity and we double it.

We try and stick with sports related charities our members would be interested in supporting, so have given lots to Racehorse rescue and rehab charities.

One of my favourite charities is the Great Football giveaway, they travel developing areas giving away footballs! Often to schools, who use these to encourage the kids into school. Theres a great video about it here www.olbg.com/community/charity/football-giveaway.php

We are on the look out for new sports related charities to support, similar to these, so if anyone has any suggestions, would be grateful to hear them.

I have just started donating, as well as using justgiving.com to organise charity events.

We have a foundation Knockout For Cause that will be the talked about charity in the Gaming world.
