    Default Affiliate license....

Hi everyone! i m new here and i want to thanks all of you for those great information you have posted here (i m reading some days now .
I want to ask some things if anyone knows:

I develop a new site related to sports betting, which will also use affiliate links. I want to ask if i need to have any license for having affiliate links in my site. My site will also has user subscription (bet consulting),and fantasy betting slips (players would make fantasy bets, without giving any money) which i guess doesn't require any license. Thanks for your time.

Depends on where your physical location is, where your sever is located and what country your target market is.

I wouldn't think you need a license.. But don't take my word for it, check with a Lawyer.

Also it is important to check with your affiliate partners, they will be the ones that know their/your market best.
They should know if you need any type of licensing or permits.

online gambling law is a specific field, you need to talk to lawyers that specialize in international online gambling law.

    I. Nelson Rose is a US legal expert on online gambling, you might contact him. He may know someone in the EU that can help you.

Sorry, but I don't know of any lawyers that deal with EU online gambling.

Then your best alternative is to talk to the affy programs you are going to work with. They will know the answers to your questions. They will most likely even know of a Lawyer you can speak too.

Just remember that a good affy program is one of your best sources of info on issues like these.
