In this latest installment of our Affiliate Manager Interview Series we talk with Freddy, affiliate manager for BingoProgram.com. These fun and informative question and answer sessions are an opportunity to get a personal feel for the people who run the affiliate programs, and we hope they will foster rewarding and productive relationships between GPWA members and sponsors.
- Cheers Freddy, how are you today?
I'm fine thanks!
- Would you please tell us a little about the websites BingoProgram promotes?
We promote what I believe is the largest online bingo network of the industry. We are very strong in the UK with Bingos.co.uk and BingoFriends.com, leader of the Spanish market thanks to ElBingo.com, growing in Italy with EuroBingo.com and Bingos.com is still alive in the US. Oh...we've also launched a UK casino site CasinoJoker.com and we're going to launch a new bingo brand for France shortly. Other options for the near future may be getting involved in the online lottery industry.
- Please tell us a little about the BingoProgram affiliate program. What is unique about it?
Bingo Program is a good program to work with because it has several renowned bingo sites to promote and offers the highest commissions out there. Online bingo has been growing a lot over these last years and will keep on doing so in the future, so entering this market is definitely a clever thing to do. As you know, bingo is considered "softcore" gaming and it's socially accepted - this makes it quite easy to advertise anywhere avoiding certain legal restrictions.
- How do you approach working with portal webmasters?
I do a bit of everything really: doing research and contacting them directly, advertising in affiliate portals and gaming magazines, posting in gambling forums...and with monthly newsletters. I think it's useful to combine several ways to approach affiliates.
- What has been your favorite bonus or promotion while working with BingoProgram?
What works best for us is usually a high commission....as simple as that! I have tried offering trips, laptops or running a motivating competition amongst them and I've found it isn't as effective as increasing their revenue share or CPA commission.
What is your favorite gambling game?
- I would say sports betting is what I really like. From pure casino games I think roulette and blackjack are quite fun.
- What is your favorite vacation spot?
I don't have a particular one to be honest, I'm ok with any place that's cool and offers interesting things to do.
- If you were a car, what type of car would you be?
Well, I'd love to be an Aston Martin or a Ferrari!
