Default Affiliate Marketing Burnt our Kitchen out....lol

    *Sigh*

Ok this marketing is getting too addictive. Yesterday arvo decided to make some home made fries in our deep fryer and came back to my computer to carry on working on my site. "Dumb Move"

Got carried away talking to an affiliate manager and the next thing i knew our kitchen was on fire. Won't be doing that again, luckily no one hurt. But dam fires start fast.

Luckily my partner got our animals and kids out, i didn't know a thing until i heard the kids scream FIRE!!!!

No insurance "Silly Us" But lesson learnt

I'm glad it wasn't too serious, sounds like a very close call though! I did something similar in my kitchen too, but luckily nothing serious happened

Whenever I make my lunch, I usually zip off to the computer to check stats or emails while it cooks. One time I got stuck on the computer, and my lunch got completely burned! I came out and the kitchen was all smokey, and my lunch was black haha Time goes so fast when your on the computer, and sometimes its so addictive that you can't get off it.

Cooking and being on the computer is as bad as driving and sending text messages lol

Really glad no one was hurt - those chip pan fires start incredibly fast and spread fast too. I've done similar things myself but thankfully only when boiling pasta or something like that! Pity about the insurance though and the damage. But you're right, if you don't laugh at these things you cry, and what's the point in that?!

Good to see you are taking this philosophically. The most important thing as we said is that no one was hurt.

Still it must rankle that you'll have to redo the kitchen. Well since it can't be helped be positive and "whistle while you work"

When I had a fire the insurance company had my clothes Dry Cleaned

Maybe call a Dry Cleaner and ask if it would remove the fire smell?

Try this: Put your curtains in a pillow case (one that doesn't smell of smoke ) let the bunch soak in your machine with a generous dose of fabric softener - try something with a citrus base as this is known to work well. No washing pwder though mind you. Then launch the washing after a couple of hours.

When done get the curtains out of the pillow case and hang them back right away. No need to put them out to air. Not only should the smell be gone but this will scent up the whole room.

    Hope this works.
