Default affiliate noobie help please :)

Hello all, I have came from a trading and betting background and know that side inside out. I have lots of contacts and want to start affiliate work, i know i have to make site and things but need help with deals, I know rev share inside out but need to know about cpa and hybrid deals. Any basically all tips. Heres where i am , i can get 50 new people weekly soon, so within 6-9 months could have 2000 new sign ups. Due to not knowing these people personally , i would like a cpa or hybrid deal atleast then if they turn out to be bonus or free bet people i can still earn, is this right or is the requirements. I want to know about sports/casino/bingo and all other options. i meet a few people in person so can tell them manually , do i have the recipe to make money here be honest. I need info so i can run the numbers. surely 50 new people weekly on all these sites can make money? my mail is affiliategroup at outlook . com

    thanks for your time.

Where are you from affiliategroup? Later this month it Amsterdam Affiliate Conference will take place in the RAI in Amsterdam. If you would be able to go there I am sure you can find a good deal.

Hi AffiliateGroup, Im also in the UK and like you Im just starting out but Im lucky enough to have a guy helping me who has been making some serious money online for the last few years. He promotes betting offers and casinos both online and offline. Would you be interested in a JV? If so I can send him your details and point him to this thread.

Hybrid is definitely the best deal to have but not all operators will give these deals to new affiliates

reef media and xl media are the same company, this is an affiliate network which is like a middle man, some people like working with networks, personally I don't, I prefer to negotiate deals with the operators directly, affactive are an operator so if you work with them you would be working with them directly

I will offer some advice based on what I have seen.

You need to spend money to make money. Yes, the upfront costs of mailing to your data are going to be high, but if you don't spend the money you wont see a cent return. This is not a good enough reason to want a CPA IMO.

Revshare is going to make you the most money in the long run. If you have lots of players, the revshare potential is massive. If your data has a lifespan, in other words if your data is not getting larger, you are better off on revshare because long after you have exhausted any potential depositors from that list, the already converted players will be still playing and you will still be earning.

I have seen a player deposit and lose over 100k and the affiliate got paid $200 because they were on a CPA. How would you feel if that was you?

If the affiliate program is happy to continue with the CPA deal, this means they are making money and you are losing out. If they are not making money, they will not continue the deal. A CPA is lose-lose for you.

You are better off going on a revshare deal.

A lot of programs as mentioned previously will not do a CPA or hybrid deal with someone who has no working history with the program. If you're so confident in your players, do a test on revshare and prove that it would be worthwhile doing a CPA. Not only will you get some players earning you residual income, but you'll get what you want and there wont be any doubt about your data integrity.

If an affiliate comes to me that I have no working history with and wants a CPA and is not even remotely interested in doing a test on revshare to see what the value is like, the first thought I have is that they are dodgy. I'm sure others have the same idea as me.

    I hope that helps.

I agree 100% with Renee Here .. Affiliates who work on Rev Share in the Long run have business that keep on going where as the CPA guys once their Data has dried up so does their revenue .. I also agree with her comment about the CPA guys who don't want to test on a Rev Share basis first if the data they have is solid and worth it then why not show how good it really is by doing a Rev Share test first and after the results are there they can push for CPA .

    Hi Affiliategroup,
I am from Affactive, I can tell you all you need to know about us

Regarding MediaReef and XL Media , as stated below, they do act as middleman, you will definitely get a better deal from me, straight.

Deal wise, as long as your traffic is good, I can get you excellent rates right from the start!

Revenue share is the Win-Win for both parties. If you are in the business for the long run, my advice is to choose revenue share commission.
