I took a look at your T&C and did not see any full explaination of your affiliate commission structure.....What is it (in detail please)?

I noted the following on one of your other pages, but it is meaningless to me......

"Affiliate Commission = [player wagers x game index] x 10%"

    Game index????

    Thanks

    Marc

    Hi Marc,

I sincerely apologize for overlooking your question.

ActionOnline's commission structure is very unique.

In the formula player wagers x game index x 10% = commission

The game index is the earning potential or house advantage of a specific game. For example, Carribean Poker has a game index or house advantage of 5.22%.

If you like more game index info you can let me know your email address and I can send them to you.

Likewise, if you would like to discuss other commission options please contact us at affiliates@actiononline.com and I'd be happy to speak to you about what suits you best.

    Thanks,

    Vanessa

So for a $100 wager it would be...

    100x.0522x.1

    Is this correct?

So....an affiliate stands to mak 50 cents for each $100? (using the above scenario for poker)

If an affiliate program is not small affiliate friendly (especially small US Affiliate), then they are NOT Affiliate Friendly!

What it amounts to is getting 10% of the expected house take - this is actually a pretty interesting and good system, as it is NOT dependent on whether the player loses or not.

What you get in your scenario is 52 cents on every $100 wagered. This is an always positive number for the affiliate, but slightly risky for the house - I know of instances where a $100 deposit has been put through $10000 in wagers... that's $52 for the affiliate, and if the player has money left the house takes a bigger loss.

On the other hand, this may make a lot less money for you if you happen to have players who constantly lose LOL. You can almost view it like a poker rake. And keep in mind the house index on blackjack will not be higher than 2%.

Vanessa, are there ever any deductions for any reason (such as chargebacks)?
Pros: You will always make money every month.
Cons: You will not make a lot of money every month.

I'd have to put that calculation on some of my existing figures from other programs - using an average of 3% - to see how it works out, but really the fact that you always make money is a big plus if you don't like the possibility of a goose egg at the end of the month.

    I see your point spear...

I don't know if I like it for poker or not though...so...

beat up those numbers a bit too...you do a pretty decent job of helping many of us understand the pros and cons of the numbers...

I can't always figure it out myself... what I am planning to do when I have free time is completely revamp my bonus and affiliate sections to provide net results or values to player/affiliate. Lot of work there but it will be worth it, if I can ever get it started.

    Default New Commission structures!

    Hi Spearmaster,

I have to say thanks for replying to some of the questions and adding some of the positives and negatives of the program. It's great help and I appreciate the honesty you give on the program.

To answer your question Chargebacks are counted as deductibles. Although on a much more positive note in Action's history there have been close to no chargebacks and as I have heard from affiliates this has not affected them.

I also wanted to take the time to let you know we are now offering more than one structure. We are still offering the 10% on wagering structure, and we have added CPA deals and a 30% commission on net revenue!

    I appreciate your feedback.

    Cheers,

    Vanessa
