AffiliateCon offers two days of serious business, intertwined entertaining breaks and keynote speakers. Hosted in Bulgaria’s capital city Sofia, the location was chosen as much for the buzz as it was for its convenient location. AffiliateCon is not a trade show with big intimidating stands where brands try to outspend each other, but a relaxed networking environment with private meeting areas.

Interesting.

It is a bit unfortunate that one of your attending brands is Ladbrokes. To me, that kind of goes against the idea that '..the affiliate is the VIP..'.

I would still probably go though.

I'm not really getting that from the site right now.

On reflection, there is not a whole lot of interest at this conference so far. Maybe when you flesh out the schedule it will look better. Or maybe I am missing something.

The program is quite vague to me. I also just see three brands: two brands that are not very friendly to affiliates and a brand that is targeting Norwegian traffic. The week before there's an event in Bucharest, week after an event in Budapest.

I will go, I think, as it's very close and Sofia is a nice city. It's a free market, so everybody can organise the events they want of course, but to me, there seem to be a bit of overkill. I hope it won't make events less interesting. I prefer fewer events but interesting, than plenty of events but less interesting.

That maybe your view but, Ladbrokes have proven time and time again they don't care about affiliates. If they did, they wouldn't have screwed their USA affiliate partners. Or all the other crooked practices they've employed over the years. Simply put, they can't be trusted.

But I suppose like all the other conference organisers, Ladbrokes is paying your company cash for their attendance. (A limited number of gaming brands will be invited ).

So please tell me again how your conference is any different to others, who make money on the backs of affiliates, by the organiser whoring their convention for cash, to unethical affiliate program operators?

It doesn't look professional at all. What is the exact date of the event? And who are attending? The lack of information isn't professional at all. It seems to be something like "Hey, let's rent a conference room in a hotel, invite some affiliates and try to let some programs pay for attending"...

Besides that it seem to be more a meeting for rogue programs than a meeting where affiliates are VIPs.

Unfortunately, we have taken the decision to postpone the first AffiliateCon in Sofia until Spring 2018. We have had to take this action
due to the dates in September conflicting with other industry conferences in the area.
