    Default After 3 years...

After 3 years of not smoking (11th October) my dreams about smoking have turned into dreaming about EATING MCDONALDS.

For those who don't know, my new years resolution was to not eat mcdonalds for 1 whole year. So the last time I ate mcdonalds was new years eve.

For those who also don't know, Mcdonalds is like my heroin. I would eat it every day if I could. I love it like I loved smoking cigarettes, which is why I decided that was my new years resolution. I've been tempted a few times, but I know if I eat it I will just start eating it every day again. So once a year is my limit.

So after 10 months of no mcdonalds my senses are finally telling me that new years eve is approaching and that they are getting ready for the taste sensation of that which is my heroin, a double quarter pounder with cheese, some shaker fries, a super sized diet coke and a double choc sundae (with extra chocolate). I'm going to eat until I chuck.

Don't get me wrong, a super sized diet coke is nothing to be proud of, but the syrup mixtures just **** all over the bottled stuff..

OK now that I am drooling I will leave it there. Just thought I'd share

I've already seen it. I also worked at maccas for 4.5 years during my teens and although they say once you work there you'll never eat it again, I still eat and love it.

Nothing can turn me off unfortunately.

    What about eating REAL food?

I like the local Fish n Chips - always have - but they're fattening.

About two years ago I made my own version .
    - a simple buttermilk batter, good breadcrumbs, pan fried fish,
    - oven baked chips
    - A nice spring onion, tomato, malt vinegar salsa ...

I'll never have commercial fish and chips again.

    ===========

So I'm damn sure that you can get a better burger than a double quarter pounder with cheese ...
Taste the best - and you'll be off McDonalds for life

I eat real food every day.. actually the real food and ending my relationship with Mcdonalds was motivation to lose weight. And I've lost 6.5kgs but I don't think it's from Mcdonalds. It's from exercise mostly.
Although I do love it too, fish and chips is definitely not on the list.
I dont mind a baked sweet potato though. And sweet potato chips are the best! MMMMmmmMmMmm

Mostly plain old chicken or scotch fillet steak (with garlic salt) and steamed vegies or a salad is my dinner and lunch usually consists of sushi, egg and lettuce on seeded rye, subway or home made sandwiches with some kind of deli meat and salad. Breakky is almost always all bran (unless i'm feeling like poached eggs on toast with spinach and mushrooms).

Maybe that's why I'm all of a sudden craving mcdonalds. I rarely eat anything yukky apart from the odd chocolate here and there. My body is trying to tell me something.

I guess once a year is alright. It's crazy how you could eat it everyday though. It didn't make you feel sick?

I used to eat a lot of mcdonalds when i was in high school but it's not because i was hooked to it. It's because it was cheap and quite a cozy place to do my homework with my classmates. And to get a table you NEED to order something. But not everyday though, just once or twice a week.

I do think about eating it occasionally but i'd just find some other munchies and end up forgetting about it.

Also, i had a very strict childhood. Mcdonalds or any other fast food was a big no no.

Catherine....that was disgusting and funny at the same time...

This whole damn thread makes me wanna go have dinner with Renee on New Years....I do not eat at Mickey D's often, but when I do I often ask myself afterward why I didn't just go have a nice steak dinner somewhere since I usually spend nearly as much.....but there is nothing like eating 4 or 5 Quarter Pounders and a few miscellaneous items from their menu....

    LOL

I remember the last time I had McDonalds was on Monday August 3rd 2009 at around 15:00. I had a huge meal complete with chocolate shake and followed by a monstrous ice-cream.

Why do I remember it so well? lol Because 4 hours later I started having labor pains while I was at work and I had my baby the following morning at 04:00 am.

Unforgettable memory of McDonalds, wouldn't you agree?

Not really Rick But it does seem to make them want to pop out sooner than expected.

In my case, just the day before I went to my Gyn for a check up and he told me the baby wouln't be here before the next 2 weeks or so. I still remember the look of utter astonishment on his face when I reminded him of that small detail.

Spinach I just cook it in a frypan with a tiny bit of butter and a bit of salt. The mushrooms I fry up with a touch of garlic salt. Not much to it. It's a little bit naughty but not going to kill you.

Zoorana - it didn't make me feel sick. Although I didn't eat it for 2.5 years about 10 years ago because I was on a health kick and when I ate it again it did make me feel a little ill. But then I got used to it again and it was fine.
After eating any kind of fast food you always end up feeling violated afterwards. Mcdonalds just happens to be worth it in a way.

    Vin - thanks.

Gabriel - Burger King (Hungry Jacks here) tastes like ass. Their meat has a smokey flavour that I dont like, AND the biggest AND of all, they don't use old english cheese so it just doesn't taste the same.
Wendys here is an ice cream shop. The only food you can get there is a hot dog.

Rick if we all eat mcdonalds on new years eve it will kinda be like we are eating together? We could all take a photo inside the restaurant and photoshop each other in LOL

And btw there are DEF no babies coming here any time soon
