"AI Content Checker" dilemma

Hi,

I was running some of the guest posts that people send me to get published through several different "AI checker" tools and i stumbled upon a dilemma that makes me question all of this.

Most of these checkers come as a free supplement tool to a suite of paid tools like "AI humanizers" and such. Usually linked to from the same page.

Then I took a page that I am currently writing (in progress) completely by hand, not even using AI to edit review my writing. And ran it past these detectors (took top 6-8 from Google search results).
All but one of those tools said my text is likely AI generated.

In my view there's a crystal clear incentive to mark content as AI and prompt visitors to use their paid tools to fix that. Therefore, it's pretty tricky to trust these results.

Yep, you can't trust anything like that. And even when/if you use one, you still can't trust it.

AI checkers exist to sell you a solution to a problem they create. They are completely worthless.

That looks quite good to me. Just checked 20.000 words right away.
About 5k ENG gambling stuff, delivered by a member here. Awesome stuff. 100% human written (scored 0-10%, means no AI)
And +15k words GER personal finance stuff. Mainely pet and home owner insurance. 100% AI content (scored 88-98%)

Both, highly competitive niches. Currently, i invest nothing in link building in both niches.

My dilemma here ... the German AI content (insurance) is outstanding good.
As a German i usually find nothing i could word better. Perfect outlines, structure, KW placing, readability.
During the last 6 months i push between 100.000 an 200.000 words a month online.
Its cost me less than €90 for all content in complete. Perfectly outlined/structured, written, internal linking integrated.
And it ranks. And it makes money. Fast indexing on new domains. Almost instant (good) rankings.
All looks stable after 6 months.

When in doubt, follow the money. But beyond that, what's your goal in using the AI checker? If your content is good and not duplicated elsewhere (meaning you're not competing with another site that has the same text), it shouldn't affect you. Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see how this could harm your web. Use what works for you, keep closing deals, and don't get sidetracked by tools whose business model is to give you false results and make you think you have a problem.

Does anyone even know how these detectors work? And is there any confirmation that such tactics are bad? I am having doubts
