The last update actually helped some of my websiteswondering how it will look like this time.
It's been deleted now, but you can see it in the google cache (for now): https://webcache.googleusercontent.c...hrome&ie=UTF-8
This is what it said:
"For the third time now, I’ll say again, I have every confidence that when we’re acting on site reputation abuse algorithmically, we’ll say that. It’s not right now. I also won’t be responding to this particular question every week so maybe let it go a month between asking (I don’t mean that as harsh as it sounds just that it’s not useful or productive for me to do the “are we there yet” over and over again)"

Thanks for posting that, and can understand the frustration of getting the same questions asked over and over.
Will be interesting to see the outcome of the current update and whether it will help or hurt spam.

This month has been somewhat slow for me and hopefully, this new update will actually do something, once it's completely rolled out in about a couple of weeks. There's no doubt that everything's getting harder and so is the competition in the gambling industry.
Looks like a content spam update. My guess is they're targeting:
1. Pages that are mostly - or entirely - AI text (excluding "good" AI text, whatever that is right now)
2. Pages with high bounce rates or return to SERP rates (mentioned in the API document leak)
3. Pages with heavy advertising, thin content, obtrusive ads
4. Duplicate content across multiple domains, particularly AI "scaled content".
Spam updates are more about obvious abuses versus judgment calls. So I think most will be safe unless they're taking big risks with their content.
This might clap some of those hacked sites that fall victim to automated content posting. Hopefully Google gives these webmasters a heads up first. A GSC notification with a 90 day deadline could work.

SEO is dying IMO, Google search is constantly changing and decaying, affiliate marketing of online casinos is changing too. Find new channels, don't rely on Google and search engine optimization

Hey Guys,
One of my affiliate site i worked very hard on got totally out of SERP, probably because of the use of AI content.
I worked with a content writer for a long time and he claims he didn't used any ai program for my site but when i check the content on AI detectors i see its 70-100%
Can someone suggest a way of work with him so i will be sure he will not use it? all the AI detectors seem not to be really accurate with their results
Anyone had a same issue recently?

Yes, I don't think SEO is dying as much as it is changing. Smaller sites are less competitive than they used to be (mostly). It's becoming more of a corporate game with large teams and large budgets dedicated to ranking for terms that many on this forum probably owned for a fraction of the cost 8-10-12 years ago.
To be expected as the industry matures. However, in the wake of the recent updates and eventual algo-driven site reputation abuse rollout, I actually think it might make smaller operations more competitive in the short run.
Can't wait to see Forbes and Techopedia smacked out of the SERPs (but if they survive, they'll be the model moving forward).
Google is becoming harder to work with or to understand at all. The SPAM update didn't affect my sites, but the previous update did throw one of my sites out of serps. I have to confess it did have some AI created content which I revised myself manually, but still...it didn't save it. I've completely rewrote the content on that site, but can't recover the ranks... Guess, the AI content did some terrible damage to it.
The AI detector tools are highly unreliable even though some people choose to trust them. You can write an article from scratch yourself, run it through AI detector and it will show 40-60% AI content, which means it cannot be trusted.
You can try several different tools and if all show 70%-100%, then there is a possibility the content was written by AI. But, if one shows let's say 23%, another 35% and third one 17%, chances are there is no AI involved.
Difficult to explain, but that's just the way it is with these tools.

The best bet is to re-write the content in your own words. Even the prompts like "make the text human-optimized" doesn't help and it still generates text based on the content that's already online.
My GSC haven't updated for the last 3 days, obviously might be expected during updates, but I haven't seen it being stale for such a long time yet.
Also GA doesn't appear to be quite accurate either.
