Any experience with Tiktok or VK

Since Facebook is randomly closing my accounts and appeal is actually a loop of automated responses, I was thinking to try tiktok.com or vk.com (twitter still works). Anybody experience with those? Actually this leads me to another question. Is social media really a benefit? Link building - not really. Building a community is harder than ever.

According to the latest stats, 60% of TikTok users are between 16 and 24 years of age, so I'm not going to bother with it. VK has an older user base, but they're predominantly Russian. I promote via VK , but it's not a significant traffic source.
