I received an unsolicited email (to my personal address) from a GoBetGo.com affiliate manager asking for exposure.
I replied asking where they got my email address and they said:
"It was given to us by an affiliate manager who wishes to keep his name private. "
I replied saying that I wanted to keep my name and email address private too and that I have not had any choice in that matter. I also said that it is a bad start for an affiliate program that they are buying email address databases and sending unsolicited spam.
They replied:
"It's a more worrying fact, that someone who you are already working with sold your information to a third party. Don't shoot the messenger. "
Cliffs: It's not okay to sell email addresses, but it's okay to use the said email addresses when you are they buyer.![]()
