aol accounts and passwords breached

I knew this had happened and helped a few clients in an attempt to prove it last week, but of course I heard a lot of the "the client must have been using a compromised computer" and all the normal other fluff you expect when a provider could lose face by being honest.

After helping a few clients verify their machines were in fact not compromised, I suggested they change their passwords and stressed the use of strong passwords.

If you use AOL, I urge you to change your passwords just to be safe.

Yes I know a lot of people will want to post all about the reasons not to use AOL, but they in fact still run a decent enough service, so it is what it is.
