According to the Christian group that started this whole debacle, have said that God was coming on the 21st of May with and the world will not actually end until 21st October where we will be consumed by fire...apparently god needs 5 months to sift through the filth of humanity to find those who are worthy to be "saved"!

Who would have thought it would have taken that long?

So I was flying through the clouds - on a plane... I wasn't "raptured" - dang it.

Anyhooo... I'm looking through the window, and all I could think of "damn it where is an internet connection when you need one, i need to tell the guys on GPWA that I'm not seeing any nakie people being raptured up." And I travelled from Australia, up through to Asia, then Across South East Asian, Indian, Middle East, and Europe... nothing - not even a bird... just clouds.

I think this guy might have been a crack pot.

And what will they say on October 21st? Well... hmmm, you see...errrr God hasn't finished sifting through - that's a very delicate process and he wants to make sure he has not missed anyone worthy - so he's kinda decided to postpone it some more. What??? It's his right, He's GOD after all.

I can't believe that some people do take this seriously. They must have been seriously brainwashed.

Funnily enough it's only after I read this thread that I finally took note of those weird banners which have been placed almost everywhere around here. Something along the lines of "The Trumpet will sound, the worthy will resurrect and blah, blah, blah..." To be honest, once I read the first few words previously I was always like "Why don't you shove that trumpet when I am thinking?"

Isn't it freaky that these people seems to be rooting for the end of the world, total destruction and all?

Who knows why some people chose to give over their responsibility for themselves to another person, regardless of how nonsensical their teachings. People put up with some strange things just for the sake of going along, seeking acceptance of some kind.

Yeah, heard about Heaven's Gate - imagine some of these guys underwent voluntary castration in preparation for the genderless life they believed awaited them after the suicide. And that about the other group suicides which took place: Solar Temple (1994 -1997) - about 74 deaths and Peoples Temple (1978 ) - 918 deaths. There are others also which are still open to debate.

That's what's so sad. Some people are so lost that they will follow anyone or anything just to get a little comfort and sense of belonging. Then you have some other unscrupulous bastards who use then and prey on their sense of insecurity to turn them into puppets and slaves.

You are right Amateur, what's wrong with the world are some of the people who live on it.

Remember when Camping - a US radio evangelist - told us the world would end on May 21? And then nothing happened?
Well, his revised date is October 21 - which is today. Or tomorrow in the US.
