I'm probably going to stay up and watch it. I just need to brush up on the basic cricket rules first.

Great to see Broad kick off with a five-for... I have a 'bucket list' entry to watch an ashes match down-under, hopefully next series.

sat up all night watching it, great days play, bowlers were fantastic.

Have no idea though how people work nights. went bed at 7.30am been woke up twice and now up tired and hungry. same again tonight though

FAO Planet Mark - You'd be surprised how much it costs to do a tour mate, only doing the Perth test and got flights, hotel and tickets for £2k-£3. luckily im doing it with my mate though and not my wife or obviously that would be double plus double the spending money. Got my heart on doing the full tour next series out there which isn't till 2017 so you never know what will happen by then but fingers crossed

Yeh I'm the sam TBO .

Wanted to do this series but not in a position financially, or can have that amount of time off work! Would love to do the proper barmy army tour experience, especially while I'm still young enough to appreciate all the local, erm , wildlife?

The barmy army are strange mate, very cliquey. Im doing this tour with them begrudgingly as ticketing isn't very simple with Cricket Australia. If you want to secrure tickets being English you have to either book a package (hotel and tickets) from a tour operator or wait until they have been on general sale to the Australians, but Perth sells out within a couple of hours so you have no choice.

Got this to take with me though

Lucky we had the new boy (Carberry), and Broad seems up for it though.
daren't look at the price to go 1-0 down.
