Post [ASIA - PH] Casino Affiliates Reality - [QUESTION] for EU and NA Affiliates

I've been working in the Asian iGaming affiliate space, mainly focusing on the Philippines and other Southeast Asian countries, and I've noticed that the affiliate landscape here seems quite different from what many European or North American affiliates describe.
    A few things I've observed:
    • Most traffic is mobile-first, and social media often drives more users than traditional SEO.
    • Many players still trust agents, Telegram groups, Facebook communities, and personal referrals more than review websites.
    • Brands come and go much faster, making it harder to build long-term evergreen content.
    • Payment methods and local preferences are often just as important as bonuses.
    • Competition isn't only with other affiliates—you're also competing with influencers, streamers, and countless unofficial pages.

SEO still works, but it feels like the ecosystem has evolved. Google is no longer the only traffic source. AI search, community recommendations, and direct brand searches seem to be playing a much bigger role than they did a few years ago.

I'm curious how things compare in Europe and North America.

    • Is affiliate marketing there still heavily driven by SEO?
    • Are branded keywords (e.g. "Brand X Casino Review" or "Brand X Bonus") still where most conversions come from, or has that changed?
    • How important are non-branded informational keywords compared to branded traffic?
    • Are affiliates seeing more traffic from AI search tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, or Perplexity yet, or is Google still dominant?

I'd love to hear from affiliates working in the EU or US markets. What does your traffic mix look like today, and where do you think the industry is heading over the next few years?

Nothing new or defined specifically for the asian geo's. Been mobile first for years in all markets.

Many players still trust agents, Telegram groups, Facebook communities, and personal referrals more than review websites.
Disagree with this to some degree although some players may trust certain site or reviewers more, but nothing new.

Brands come and go much faster, making it harder to build long-term evergreen content.
This is not really new, but agree is accelerated somewhat the last few years, but so has the proliferation of new brands with lower value opening more frequently.

Payment methods and local preferences are often just as important as bonuses.
Clearly nothing new here and should be blatantly obvious.

Competition isn't only with other affiliates—you're also competing with influencers, streamers, and countless unofficial pages.
Something that is blatantly obvious and has and always will be part of the mixture.

Google has NEVER been the only source, and their ecosystem has changed and evolved constantly, and will continue to do so.

Go to the SEO section alone, and start around 2009 (surprised there isn't more earlier than that) and have a read, there are only 2170+ threads. After that read through the general section and you will see that many many hundreds of times the changes are discussed. Of course change is inevitable.
