    Default Winunited starting rogue activity

I have posted this up over at the gambling affiliate place and thought i should post it up over here also, i know Winunited will be unknown to the vast majority on here but if this helps just one person avoid them then i have done a service.

Winunited are a European based book that in my opinion have now gone rogue.

I was unable to log in to my account and it said the account was inactive, i then emailed winunited and got the following response.

    Hi Martin

Over the coming months, our WINunited affiliate programme will be upgrading various aspects of the technology in order that we provide our business and all our partners with greater functionality and reporting, driving greater profits for us all.

Part of this process means filtering and cleaning the current data within the programme. Ultimately for both parties’ benefit - new affiliate accounts will be created in the new updated affiliate programme.

The initial steps therefore to simplify this process, must be to suspend all affiliate accounts in preparation for the switch over.

The suspension of the account is in line with our programmes terms and conditions.

Once the new and improved product is up and running we will get in touch with you to revitalise our partnership.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

    Best Regards

So i responded twice, first with this email

    Hello

What happens to all the previous sign ups i had with you and the ongoing earnings related to those sign ups.

It clearly states that these are lifetime earnings

    Best Regards

    Martin

    And then with this

    Hello Elaine

Also you never close affiliate accounts when migrating to a new system and i hardly think there is a better system than netrefer at this stage.

To me this looks like a simple case of closing an affiliate account without just cause.

Please reactivate my account as a matter of urgency with all my sign ups intact

    Best Regards

    Martin

Winunited then came back with this

    Hi Martin

I appreciate your thoughts on the ‘current best’ affiliate system however which system to use is ultimately our choice.

With regards to your affiliate media deal we have decided to end our agreement as laid out in the terms and conditions of our affiliate programme.

Your profit generation in the last three months (before partner share) was €0.00.

Further, from the accounts referred to our business during the last 90 days has only made 4 bets, each staking less than one euro and each winning. Admittedly less than a euro!

From time to time affiliates are reviewed across all online programmes, as part of that review we have decided to end our agreement.

I hope that clarifies the matter.

    Best regards

So as you can see from their first email it was because they were changing over systems etc, i then contested this and said old players can be migrated etc and they then came out with that basically they closing my account because its a non earner.

Now go to their site http://affiliates.winunited.com/page.aspx?p=4&l=1 and you will see under how it works that they say you get the affiliate earnings for the lifetime of that player.

Also try and read their terms and conditions, i could not

Bottom line they have closed my account for no other reason than i am not earning them money or sending new clients and they have stolen all my sign ups that i previously had.

Now i admit i have earned nothing recently but that should make zero difference when they clearly say on their website that you will earn for the lifetime of the player and i do have players with them or did anyway

Sorry to hear this happened to you.

This is another case of a program not caring about smaller affiliates in any way.

When a program treats any affiliate (let alone a smaller affiliate) in the manner in which you detailed above, then I say the program is NOT viable for any affiliates.....large or small.

If they treat small affiliates in this manner, it's only a matter of time before they also treat larger affiliates in a manner in which they too would have their income suffer.

Affiliate programs need to learn that an affiliate once signed up costs them NOTHING whether they drive new players or not.

BUT...the lack of affiliates costs them PLENTY!!

    From the Winunited site:

You then earn commission (based on your chosen commission structure) from revenues generated through Customers referred to us through your affiliate link, and will do so for the entire duration of the customer's lifetime with us.
The above is false advertising or an out and out lie.

Thank you for the warning Betpartners.
