    Default Australian online bookies facing credit offer ban

    Legislation that bans online gambling sites operating in Australia from offering lines of credit to their customers is expected to pass federal parliament.

    Human Services Minister Alan Tudge is confident sweeping reforms will pass parliament, banning online gambling sites operating in Australia from offering lines of credit to their customers.

    The legislation is expected to pass the Senate on Wednesday.
    Additionally, the legislation deals with illegal offshore betting providers and clarifies the laws on in-play betting.

    Dear me - - they've emphasised one tiny aspect of it because they don't understand it or they are trying to present a different picture. Headline is very misleading.

    This is the IGA in total passed through in to law.

    Online poker, online casinos, offshore sportsbooks banned.
