Default Backlinks - What Do I Need to Know?

OK, so here's the thing. I know that backlinks are important. I know what backlinks are. What I don't know is how to go about getting them. I mean do you guys just link to each others blogs and sites? I am guessing not. Could somebody explain to me please the best way (and probably the quickest) to building up a catalog of quality backlinks?

To get the majority of links, you need to buy them. And good links cost good money. Hundreds of $$$ in fact.

You can do your own outreach and ask sites if they want to link to your content. In the gambling niche this doesn't really happen naturally as sites generally don't want to link to gambling content. Unless you pay for it.

You can do link exchanges with other members
bettingworx.com - latest betting app reviews & guides for Android, iOS & mobile.
androidbettingappguide.co.uk - Reviews, download guides & info for betting apps on Android devices
bettingapps365com - Dedicated Android app store for all gambling apps
bingoappguide.co.uk - Reviews & guides for all real money bingo apps
    appsdeapuestas.es | app-scommesse.com | pokerappguide.com | gamble-usa.com

    1) As stated, if you really want backlinks, you need to buy them.

    2) The other option is as google says do "really great content" and people will link to it. Sometimes this happens, but it is very rare in gambling niche and is almost akin to winning the lottery to get a link that will actually help your site. I think it is definitely worth trying to create "really great content" as in theory that will rank well anyway but if you want backlinks while you are still young, see option 1).

Disclosure: I don't buy backlinks. I have done so in the past and found it just depressing sorting the 99% sh1t sites that wont help you anyway from the 1% sites that might help. Then the good site link 'accidentally' becomes an orphan page. Once you start buying links, you can't easily stop the cycle.

Ah Ken. One of ten or more SEO type questions you could ask that for someone to do it full justice in a typed answer would take 2-3 hours minimum (maybe 4-6) and over two pages worth of post space. And even then might not have covered all the vagaries and variances.

For that reason I personally can't make the attempt...but if we talk later in the week I will verbally tell you what I (think I) know.

At the core though I would say at this stage of your development (and this is for a number of reasons all of which may not be obvious)...don't worry about it (assuming you are in for the long run), or if you do then be very selective if you go looking.

The overarching advice right now would be fix your site and build more (good) content....and go from there.

I agree with you man, btw you can get some testimonials for free and there is some free blogs and directory sites, but at the end you will have to put some money into the link building. Good Luck

At first read a few articles at SEO blogs, such as Moz, Ahrefs blog, Neilpatel and Backlinko about linkbuilding. As it's too long to explain.
You can build links manually, but most of the time you have to buy it.
It's not cheap and easy process.

Hi Ken you can also accumulate links by reaching out affiliate programs. Ask for a partnership offer them a good extensive review and a sweet spot on your homepage. After that some affiliate programs may take you as an testimonial. I guess some links from niche relevant sites are the best links you can get as an webmaster.

You can take the manual route, but you can also pay for links. Just make sure that if you are buying links that they are created in a natural fashion that Google won’t red flag. Also, get links on quality sites that are relevant and will help you build authority. Low quality backlinks can harm your rankings.

I am also buying links, but just like someone above mentioned. Good links cost serious money. If you buy links in bulks from fiverr, don't expect miracles. I am speaking from my own experience!

I think links are generally not worth buying. Or how some people buy a bunch of links from low-quality sites. Better to find where you can place 1-2 very high quality links from a cool site. Than accommodate 500 with mediocre quality.

As Google's SERPs show, there are sites with suspicious links at the top as well. This does not prevent them from taking traffic and doing so effectively. 1-2 links from quality sites? Yes, that might work, but I would also dilute with crowds or submits

You have to buy quality backlinks and then do exchanges with like-minded people who are interested in swapping links with you. I used to do this many years ago (10+ years), and the outcome I got was okay, but not great.

Backlinks that are coming from dependable, popular and high authority sites is also what you want to be taking into consideration.

Just be aware though that not all link sites approve of gambling content.

You could go and try to "replicate" competitors backlinks.

The ones that have the best rankings, of course.

The process is simple - get the URL of a competitor and run it through a backlink checker (Small SEO Tools has a free option for this).

Then go through the list of websites that link to your competitor and see which ones are the best and contact them.

You can send a "guest post inquiry", a "sponsorship inquiry" or a "link insertion inquiry" - depends on what you are trying to achieve.

For guest posts - you'll need someone who can provide useful content (assuming that you are not a content writer yourself).
For the other two - you 'll need to pay.

Like people mention above, most of the websites will ask for money.

Free links are definitely very rare in this niche, but not impossible to acquire.

I think you can create your own backlinks.

I have my own blog with another blog I created as a backlink.

If you are able to hire someone, you can pay them to create the blog for you.

Cross linking a few of your own site in a limited way is ok if the links are on target for the page content each direction, but doing very much of that can certainly be harmful so that should only be done with caution.

...and pay attention to the hosting/IPs on your interlinking sites. You will get away (most likely) with a few from the same IP (or at least I have over the years on a very limited number, and of course as Universal says they were relevant) but ideally you'd want to try to keep it to different IPs (ie not sites all built on same shared hosting)

Well, as of my experience, to build good-quality links - you pay for them. Especially in gambling niche. You can try outreach - this is when you contact the website and as them if they want to post your article or link on their website. Of course the article has to be high-quality. I suggest you not to look for backlinks from websites with same IP, as Google doesn't like those. Also, you can start with building your social media profiles, this will be a great benefit for your backlinks and for website presence in general. Another thing to keep in mind that the website you would like to get a backlink from should be as relevant as possible to your website. For ex. fashion websites won't work good, as they are far away from gambling niche, you should concentrate on looking for sports, tech, gaming, software sites.

Try local directories and directories. If the site is local. Ratings, blogging platforms. Then go to the side of outreach and possibly the exchange of links.

Quickest way to start is analyse your link deficit from your competitors and see what referring domains they have. From there you can obtain the quality links they have as well as also getting new links that are going to reduce the deficit of quality links you currently have in comparison to them. (Eg. They have 20 60+ DR links and you have only 10, then you know you are 10 short and this could possibly be a strategy to use). However note that there are other important factors of a quality link, not just the DR of the website. Happy to explain it to you in more detail, just PM me.
