Which Best Practices For URL Structuring Do You Follow?

Rand Fishkin recently wrote a blog about URL best practices. You can see it here:

As Rand says in his post, he does not view this list he gives as being absolutely critical. He says the list should serve as an "it would be great if we could," not an "if we don't do things this way, the search engines will never rank us well." He notes that Google and Bing have come a long way and can handle a lot of technical challenges. But he goes on to say "the easier we make things for them (and for users), the better the results tend to be."

Besides sharing what practices you do follow by voting in the poll, be sure to share your thoughts with others about any plans you have in this area. Are there changes you especially want to make? Are there changes you have already made? Or do you think it's all hogwash, and not something you care about at all.
