    Default Best Spyware?

What's the best free spyware I can get? Having major problems with Adaware, it's not finding updates etc. and I need to change...

    Hi pokertramp,

I use Spybot Search and Destroy...I don't have an exact url for you but search google and you will find it. Its a good program. It's free but you can donate if you like it.

    Happy weekend!

I spend many many hours each and every week removing spyware and trojans from customers computers. I have not found a single anti-spyware that does it all.

Each one I use will find some stuff that others won't so I end up using a series of them.

Adaware (Symantec will ofter restrict the updates, disable momentarily if needed)
    Spybot Search and Destroy
    Spy Sweeper
    Spyware Doctor
    AVG (Formerly Ewido)
    Specific tools from Trend Micro
Specific tools from Grisoft (makers of AVG)
    CWSShredder

Then of course I also use Hijackthis (careful with this unless you know what to remove)

And nothing replaces me digging around in the registry....but I don't recommend this to most people....

I highly recommend AGAINST any programs that says they will fix your registry or optomize it.

Thanks Rick, I'll probably install a few of those you mentioned, just did spybot and it seems to work quite well, it found a lot of things Adaware didn't.
