    Default Best USA Hosting?

I know this has probably been asked a thousand times but just want to make sure it is up to date. I am looking to switch hosting companies. Right now I use web.com and the tech support is terrible and lately there has been some performance issues as well. I am from the US and looking for a good US hosting company that obvioulsy doesnt mind our type of business. Currently I am paying about $20 a month per site to have it hosted and would like to lower than or at least stay the same. I also use a lot of dedicated IP's so that is a must.

Anyone have suggestions? I also have a lot of Wordpress sites and have noticed at web.com a wordpress site is definitly slower than other ones where I use Web Expression to create the website so the host should be able to handle wordpress and have good performance with it.

I should have switched a long time ago but I am not very tech savvy and just now finally know the ins and outs of the web.com backend but I cant take it anymore.

Godaddy has decent wordpress support. They are usually stable. Recently there was some down time but they are reliable and have been using them for years.

The deluxe hosting plan is affordable and you can host as many domains as you want there.

I have heard good things about hostgator but never have used them. I am not sure if their tech support is good for wordpress.

Thanks. I have heard mixed things about godaddy regarding hosting. Does or has anyone use/used "West Host"?

Godaddy sucked so badly when I tried them out for hosting, just thought I'd throw that in there...

Baldidiot, what problems do you had with GoDaddy hosting? I ask you this because I have a site on GoDaddy hosting and this is my first month there.

It was just really slow with tons of lag - asked support about it and they blamed my site, which was a basic wordpress install that still only had the default welcome page on it. Out of curiosity I deleted it and stuck up a one page static html site and it still took ages for it to load.

Have heard similar stories from other affs too.

    where are you located?
you can't tell by that. you need to run a traceroute to see where the bottleneck was.

I'm on godaddy, does my site load slow for you? its html. it actually nested tables, which are notoriously slow.

I can say my slots site loads a little slower than my 2 retail sites, but I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the servers they're on. The slots site was does first and the retail sites later on. I think the retail sites are just on newer equipment.

I agree with edgarf, there has been some down time lately.

Did you get the email from the CEO saying how things are changing for the better? They changed their interface which seems okay but they really need to fix what ever is causing the down time. I am on the linux hosting, I am not sure how it is for others.

I did, 2 of them. I always choose linux and I have separate hosting plans. I just buy the economy plans, it might make it easier if I ever sell a site and its good to keep my non-gambling sites separate from the gambling site just in case.

I don't know too much about hosting other than Linux is a little more secure. I did mildy complain to support one time that the interface was not too user friendly so I'm glad they changed it.

I don't what is up with the down time, it was first time in years that I really ever noticed it. I tried to upload some files a couple different times to my retail site and the FTP program would not connect.

I though HostGator was iffy about gambling sites? I had an acoount there a few years back and I remember the tech guy saying he was surprised I even got it set up. Maybe they have changed that. I started 1 site on godaddy just to check it out. Only paid for a month so if it sucks I am not commimited.

Hostgator are pretty awesome but a little bit selective on accepting gambling related sites. So when signing up it is best to mention a none gaming site as your key site in a reseller account to get your application approved.

Not had any major problems with godaddy hosting and used them for several years with shared, vps and a dedicated server. Touch wood.
Their premium domains auction section is very bad though, but that is a completely different story.
