Default Best Ways To Leverage A YouTube Channel

I run a pretty popular YouTube channel. It’s monetized and I’m making a bit of money, but I know it is worth a lot more. I have gotten 3 million views in the last month. Any ideas on how I can make more money with it? Over 70% of my views are from DACH.

Get your own website and figure out how to funnel at least a portion of the traffic though or to it.

If youtube cut you off tomorrow, having a viewership that also knows about you websitte brand would protect a portion of that traffic.

agree with rick on getting your own site, but with 70% dach there are a couple of things to check first. youtube tightened its gambling policy in march 2025, linking or even verbally pointing viewers to gambling sites that are not certified by google can get videos removed, so the description link is the weak spot of the whole channel.

in germany you can only promote operators on the ggl whitelist, and there is a 6am to 9pm ban window on online slot and casino ads in broadcasting, worth checking if your videos fall under it. austria and switzerland have their own setups again, so i would split the audience by country in analytics and build offers around whichever one is the bulk. an email list collected through the site is the part youtube cannot take away.

Before adding another monetization method, I'd break those 3 million views down by country, video topic and format. A million Shorts views and a million long-form views may represent very different opportunities. Also look at returning viewers and whether most views come from a few videos or a repeatable series. For a potential sponsor, a small media sheet with actual audience geography, recent average views and the channel's subject is more useful than a headline total. Keep sponsorship revenue separate from platform ad revenue so you can judge the extra work.
Rick's point about building a recognisable brand is important too. I'd make the next step something useful to the existing audience, rather than sending every viewer to an unrelated offer simply because it pays more.

Congratulations on 3M monthly views, that is a serious audience. Building on what Rick and arix already said about owning your funnel and staying GGL-compliant, my suggestion is to treat YouTube as your second search engine rather than just a traffic hose.

German-language search queries like "online casino test" or "neues casino 2026" have far less competition on YouTube than the same queries have on Google. Optimize each video for exactly one such query: keyword in the title, a real description of a few sentences rather than two lines, and keyword-rich chapters via timestamps so the video can rank for several long-tail variations. Then build playlists around topics like bonuses or payouts so YouTube keeps viewers inside your content instead of sending them elsewhere.

The part most affiliates skip: embed those videos on the matching pages of your own site. The embeds lift dwell time, and video schema can earn you rich results on Google. Funnel with a pinned comment and the community tab rather than stuffing affiliate links in descriptions, since YouTube is touchy about gambling monetization.

One caution on top of arix's point: start building an email list from that audience if you have not already. A channel that big is one policy strike away from trouble, and an email list is the only audience you truly own.

It depends on the niche of the channel, you would need to advertise something within that niche. As someone with a gambling youtube channel there are a few methods I've found that work well, even though Youtube is extremely strict these days.

3 million views is a great accomplishment, but I wouldn't focus on that number alone. I'd research the typical RPM for your niche and your audience's commercial value across the DACH markets. That is valuable information when negotiating sponsorships and other deals.

I also completely agree with Rick. Don't leave your audience entirely in YouTube's hands. You're essentially building on rented land, and any algorithm or policy change could seriously affect your business. Building an email list or newsletter not only functions as a safety net, but also gives you new ways and places to promote your offers. Once that is covered, I'd explore sponsorships across the channel and any related website or newsletter, and negotiate exclusive offers or better commission structures with affiliate programs you're already working with.
