Best Wordpress gaming affiliate plugins?

Hi Guys

I am in the process of setting up a gambling affiliate website, i have 7 staff onboard and we are going full steam ahead, in this for the long run. Solid business strategy, solid skillbase on the team, solid niche which were are amazed isnt filled.

My question to you all is, what wordpress plugins did you find most helpful on your gaming affiliate pages?

In particular i'm looking for plugins that enable things like lists of casinos with link to review/visit, shortcode plugins that i can insert on my home page that are relevant etc... Basically anything at all you feel you can't live without. I'm trying to keep my plugins to minimum and i've done well so far but feel i'm missing somethings ive seen on other sites.

Those themes contain -everything- i was looking for.

I am currently using woothemes canvas theme in genesis wordpress, how easy would it be to transfer some of those shortcodes/modules across to my theme?

Shortcodes are normally stored within the functions.php file so you should be able to migrate them manually.

As far as modules, if you are speaking about plugins, they can easily be migrated.

If the theme you are using has "modules" you prefer using, they are most likely hard coded into the theme itself and not easily moved as they are often coded in to add value to the theme so that users want to purchase the theme.

If you want to stay with your current theme, there are most likely ways to do everything you want, either manually or with other plugins, so the starting point is to sit down and ask yourself what is it you need that a plugin or theme change is needed.

Side note: any additions or changes to the functions file, usually requires a restart of the site so it can re-read the functions file.

Flytonic are great but they do have few unique settings such as specific casino template which you will need to adjust to.

I found out flytonic actually has a plugin for sale that includes some modules/shortcodes etc for casino reviews.

I have emailed them asking if they could include some shortcode templates from other theme for extra price

When you publish you use the title-field. When you don't want it as H1; just empty the title-field and hit save again. Then perhaps set the title in H2, H3 etc in source code of editor. Or is this not what you mean?

Isn't these niche filled? Which country are we talking about?

If you want something unique and good looking, it is better to create from scratch tbh. You just need a full-time programmer which you should have, considering your solid business strategy. That's how we did with one of our projects. There are not a lot of good plugins I believe.

I am not saying Flytonic is bad, but if you have BIG plans, then flytonic is pretty standard and you won't be able to stand from the crowd or create something what YOU personally want.

I have to say i disagree. First, you can ask them to create something custom for you, but even if you use a standard theme - I think we forgot that most visitors haven't visited 1000s of gambling sites (like most of us have) and even if they did, a different color would be enough to make it look completely different.

We are so used to look at the theme, the layout etc, then we assume that our visitors do the same. Similar as the same chords played differently will appear like a different song for you an me, but a musician will immediately know where it comes from and what were the influences and so on.

You can take the most used theme, change some colors, add nice buttons, add a nice logo and maybe a mascot and it will appear completely different to 95% of your visitors.

Despite all that, if I had the time and abilities to build a new site from scratch, I wouldn't even use WP...

I often do wordpress on new sites because the development is faster, and I tend to agree if I had the time I would likely build strictly html sites since they are much faster, although I would also consider php or combination of both since there is a little more that can be done with php.

Niche is not specific to any country, is worldwide. Niche definitely isnt filled. I intent to become the authority of my niche, so am going all out profesional design, no ads anywhere on the site.

We have sucesfully transitioned over to the new domain.

I am using websynthesis (custom hosting only wordpress using custom hosting stack for speed), w3 caching plugin, also a plugin that lets me select which pages/devices certain plugins load, cloudflare, and a plugin that loads some libraries from google rather then our site, usually they will be cached with google.

We have got 27 plugins all up.

So am pretty happy with the speed of the site, i'm not worried about it not loading fast enough on mobile devices.

I am just finalizing the theme and initial content now before launch.

I have hired somebody who has been doing SEO for over ten years, specializing in gambling field. They are helping me do the internal linking structure at the moment and will then be doing ongoing SEO duties.

One of the top SEO plugins i am using is called scribe, it ranks your page against the rest of your sites target words, in addition to completely guiding you through optimizing the content, its amazing.

I am happy with how everythings going, wordpress etc. Can't wait for launch day! Am going to be taking all my guys out on a gambling night on skype to celebrate launch which should be in about a fortnight I can then reveal my niche to you all (cant take risk of revealing it incase somebody else comes along and smashes through creating it)

I use one of the responsive online casino templates at http://www.templatemonster.com/wordpress-themes.php for my website, with additional Yoast SEO & Breadcrumbs, Headspace2, Google XML Sitemaps and Email Users plugins, just to name a few. I heard recently there's now a WP plugin allowing the painless import of 1000+ casino games such as free play slots and table games. Not recall its name, though. Check the Wordpress' official site Plugins section.
