Received the following from Bet365 this morning.
Following the issue of the updated bet365 Compliance Policy in December last year we would like to provide supplementary guidance on the requirements for the UK and the need to ensure that affiliate advertising of bet365 is easily identifiable.
In particular, both Point 6. Current Information and Point 7. Advertising Declaration of the compliance policy, reference requirements to ensure that all relevant affiliate ads should be clearly and prominently marked as such.
For the UK this means:
- Review content must cover only your personal experience and opinions of bet365 products and services and it must be apparent these are indeed solely your opinions. Any review content must also be clearly labelled as an advert e.g. by the inclusion of #ad or “Advertisement" or a similar advertising disclosure
- You must not falsely claim or imply that you are acting as a consumer. Your commercial intent and the fact that it is paid advertising must be made clear, if it is not obvious from the content. Affiliates must ensure that all marketing communications on all platforms promoting bet365 are obviously identifiable.
- All relevant affiliate ads on all platforms should be clearly and prominently marked as such e.g. by the inclusion of #ad or “Advertisement" or a similar advertising disclosure message.
- This must feature prominently on all pages promoting bet365 and should be easily identifiable.
Please get in touch if you have any questions.
