Default bet365 is trying to trick me

ok so they advertise that they offer a revenue share of 30%, ive talked to other greek affiliates that earn 30%

now they come and tell me that the commission they offer is only 20%

yes my website is in greek but I am not even allowed to sign up players from greece, so i am penalized twice for having a greek site, why cant they just come clean from the beginning, why do I have to give up on months of hard work and money to build traffic only to give it all up to change my site into english and start from zero?

this looks like its finally going to be the first month that i will get paid by bet365 and 10% will come a long way to paying some bills

can bet365 do this to me? Ive checked their terms and conditions and it says nothing about 20%, it clearly states 30%

can a bet365 rep help me out here, as it stands right now I could loose 300 euros in commission from that 10%

Apparently they can. Why don't you contact your affiliate manager and ask for a detailed explanation? They are usually very fast when it comes to issue replies.

I hope you are not implying that this makes it alright?

    they can, yes
in the end everybody can steal your money, because they have some some "insurance" in tos

however it was not the way of bet365 until now

i would like to know the explanation as well!

the thing is, they are not upfront about it, they are really cheeky

I only found out cause one of their guys mentioned it in one of the correspondence

if i had known about it before hand i could have chosen to make my website international

Nah, it doesn't make it all right, just showing you that they "can" if they decide to. Indeed I have no idea what's their reasoning behind that -10%, but I as well would be interested to find out.

what bugs me is not that they give greek affiliates less, its that they are cheeky about it, they try their best to hide it, to lure greek affiliates in without the knowledge that they will be getting a worse deal than the rest

in my terms and conditions it clearly states 30%, they sent me a link to terms and conditions in greek the other day, which does not state any %, but it doesnt say 20% it just leaves you hanging

my assumption is that they dont want people to know that greek affiliates get less, because we would choose to make our websites international. they want to lure in greek affiliates and then hit them with the 20%

I told them I would translate my website to english and market to international traffic to earn 30% and their answer was too late, you already fell into our trap

and this is supposed to be the best affiliate program there is? Im starting to feel I made a mistake, there is no honesty in this business, its full of scammers

Just to be sure: they offer you 20% for international market? What is the % of non-Greek players? Or what it was before they said you can not promote the website for Greeks?

Hey mate, I've pointed out your thread to bet365 for the benefit of all, so they can reply soon with an explanation. Things like this should not go unnoticed.

well my website is in greek, so I am assuming most of my sign ups are greek

mostly traffic is from cyprus although I do get some traffic from other countries, started to notice greeks coming from england, australia, etc, even a couple of non greeks that probably know greek, I know because they create an account on the website and I can see their name and country of origin

but yeah they said that if I go english and start promoting internationally instead of just to greeks, that would not change the 20%

Does that mean that, those who do not ask for it, or look for it, will stay on the unannounced 20%?

just to be fair to bet365, they are allowed to give out whatever % they want, but it would be wise to let affiliates know before hand what % they are getting so that they can make an informed decision, and not tell them whats up after they do all the work

if I had known about the difference in commissions I would have went for an international site, given that bet365 probably makes up most of the income of any affiliate site
