Default Betfred vs Bet365 conversions and player value

Bet365 might have an edge for longer term. But Betfred can't be that far behind.

Any insights from people who promote both would be appreciated. Especially, in the context of long-term player value.

We have always promoted them fairly equally, mostly for sports. bet365 have the edge in terms of long term player value but betfred are not far behind and are still one of the best

betfred closed my account with some obscure reason (shortly after opening). So the reliability of the program has to be taken into account.
    Bet365 are on different level.

On non-UK market, although I have not enough experience, Bet365 must be way better.

BF just came up this Monday with an account closure message as i do not have a UK complient site at my account anymore. Some tiny money less! Registered bettors spend more or less the same amount of money per month over years period of time.

Brought a .co.uk horse racing related site couple of years back at AGD but seller never handed the domain over and after 2 yrs it has expired with no chance for me to get it back.

We’ve done a fair amount of analysis on player value for both brands and bet365 are definitely ahead. Differences in reporting makes things a little less quantifiable but bet365 tend to generate higher player value and have better retention. They are the best brand overall though and that doesn’t mean Betfred are bad, just not quite at the same high level.

If you have the option I would promote both rather than choose between them, they are plenty worse than Betfred out there.

At least two decent brands still exist in the UK.

Reason being that they're still owned by their original founders. Coates (Bet365) and Fred Done and Peter Done (Betfred).

Betfred isn't bad either, but in terms of player value and convenience bet365 is a few steps ahead of them

Yes, I get that argument - seeking shareholder value in other operators is often where things start to go awry for affiliates as it’s an easy line for them to take a knife to.

Bet365 has by far the better longevity in terms of retention and ongoing player value and they don't hack into your % if you have a dry spell.

Betfred has kinda dried up for me over the last few years and reduced my commission %, whereas Bet365 player retention and value is like nothing else.

I'd still promote both if you can, though. Betfred still a decent little affiliate program who are better than most of the junk out there. But let's not compare them to bet365, it isn't close in my experience.

True. You can't compare the two. Bet365 are miles better than everyone else, but Betfred are ok. My referrals to Betfred completely dried up the last few months. I went in and changed my links recently, despite the ones I was using still being live on the system, and referrals have happened since. Maybe coincidence or maybe not all links are fully active, though they did count clicks. Another issue with Betfred - their bingo stats were all wrong a few years ago (and they admitted as much) and I wouldn't be sure this was ever corrected.

Interesting point this as an aside to the original question. I can't say I've experienced this specifically with bet365/Betfred, but I've certainly had other programs where I've seen exactly the same thing. Clicks counted fine, referrals flatlining, then switch the link (but keeping the same landing page) and magically things spring back to life.
