    Default Bitcoin Underpayments

I appreciate that when btc is rising this can happen . . . but i am losing hundreds of dollars in bitcoin underpayments on affiliate earnings. $300 wrong with one recently, $160 with another, $86 with another. They are not using accurate usd / btc exchange rates at the time of making the btc payment. Don't they realise that one right click can show the affiliate what the value was at time of payment. I don't like to query small amounts with firms I get on well with, but this is adding up. It seems a pattern of erm . . shaving.

I had a scenario where a program sent less where I could show them on the blockchain transaction the value at the time it was sent and they sent it with the next payment. They didn't fight it and were more than willing to make it up.

Have you reached out to them to see if they are willing to make it up to you?

I have on some occasions and not on others. When the error is equivalent of 1% of total payment then asking for it seems petty, even if it is $300 short. It seems obvious to ask for $100 that has been short-changed, but if it is on $10000 commission that they just paid you, then I have been letting it go. Most of the short payments though have been for more than 1%. I have had 8%-10% shaved in this way.

Really the reason I posted about this is not just about me, but because this must be happening across the board. While anyone with a brain will query the 5%-10% shortfalls, will they be querying the 1% shavings? I do think we should all be querying every shortfall however small, to stop the rot.

I am constantly getting less, sometimes significantly, from bettingpartners, but I always ask for a refund and they always give me the money to the account. This month will be especially weird, because the spreads between exchanges are huge.

    5dimes is always accurate.

I agree btc paying programs should show some generosity, because the money they save are huge. They do not need to set up bank account, care about it, there are no swift and exchange rate payments, everything is easy to handle etc.

I think they use still some processors a lot and the processors do **** job. It will take some time until they learn how to use multisig wallets or what are bitcoin fees. Because as I wrote here last month, I got payment with exteremely low fee, it took whole day to be confirmed and during that day bitcin dropped by 5% or so.

I do not know the link now, I think it was 2+2, and people there complain as well. It would be really nice, if we and players are forced to use it, to never underpay us.

Check your account under the finances tab the following month, they usually add back any amount that was underpaid

To be fair, I was just vastly overpaid this month by bp. I will give them discount during next months for underpayments

Indeed - I was going to post the same thing - for the FIRST time the payment error is in our favour - by about 8%!

yes - I cannot understand why they don't just put in the fiat figure when making payment.
It's as if someone works out a BTC conversion 3 days ago, and then waits to get it approved before sending?

Its easy enough to send an exact fiat :
Just put in the fiat figure when making the payment and let the BTCs calculate themselves at current rates.

I was just swiftly contacted by them that they will refund the small amount of accounts affected. I think it has something to do with the extra security procedures they are doing. I asked to deduct overpayment from the last month, but they said the over the top is mine and underpayment will be refunded. So there is no problem with me.

They are getting better with fees. Instead of 25 sat/B it is now 670 sat/B.
