    Exclamation Bitcoin users??

Any of you affiliates promoting bit coin operators?, we pushed away a lot of advertisers as we didnīt want to be just another banner site, however,we tried out Nitrogen sports and it worked surprisingly well,do you see a future in bit coin?,i mean,if they continue to regulate countries at the current pace it must be a viable alternative, just donīt leave the bit coin hanging!

Maybe we will add a few more has we focus on staying away from the obvious!

I am very surprised it worked. I do not think the time has come yet, but if I am wrong then it is great.

We use Seals With Clubs for bitcoin poker. They seem to be just fine, though their marketing is very out there. We tried BetCoin but the management is incompetent and we ditched them very quickly. We spent hours explaining how their poke rake model was flawed to their head affiliate manager and general manager and how to fix it. They took our idea, implemented it, promised us a good compensation package for our continued help, and then basically refused to communicate ever again. Very shady group, very assholish behavior.

    Cliffs:
Seals With Clubs = good but quirky marketing
BetCoin = shady and incompetent management, AVOID

Are you guys promote it to regular traffic or is the traffic somehow sorted to BTC friendly?

Our traffic is growing quickly and we are covered over a wider spectrum,so we couldīt really answer that itīs one or the other, however, as countries begin to regulate the scope of traditional affiliates diminish, whatīs that saying, when one door closes another one opens, even traffic from places like Italy are interested in bit coin,itīs that or bet locally, the only one thing i would suggest (sports betting),if you considering look at the betting offer, its a waste of time having big odds on American sports but low on soccer if your market is Europe——KYC Know your customer!

Valid points but still. How many ppl can use bitcoin? How many bother to change? Ok, to be honest I can NOT use bitcoin. My GF is buying them for me (yes, I am busy etc to learn everything but still...). How many ppl here on GPWA can use bitcoins without prejudices. And how many from regular betting traffic? MAybe even lower %.

Those are my thoughts. Yes I prey for even crazier regulation, because that would be the real boom, not the "new US betting market".

I promoted bitcoin casinos for over 8 months. I had 6 signups which generated approx. $24 in total, so I'm no longer promoting bitcoin properties.

    Interesting.

Would you care to define "surprisingly well" in terms of signups or revenue when compared to signups / revenue from standard properties on you site?

I think that there is a market for bitcoin gambling for residents of countries that have governments that have tried to legislate legal online gambling from them.

In North America you have the United States, in Asia you have China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam and Thailand, while in Europe players from France, Italy, Greece and Turkey are looking for a solid and reliable way to bet. These are sizable markets overall.

However ... trying to convert fiat currency holders into bitcoin holders in order to play is probably not going to work very well, there are a lot of obstacles to overcome (as Sherlock has pointed out) ... but for the smaller percentage of internet users that have already decided to hold bitcoins a percentage of THEM may well want to gamble.

I'm going to look closer at Nitrogen Sports now.

For the record, we don't much money off of bitcoin poker site seals with clubs, but there are other factors involed in that. It holds true for most bitcoin poker sites though, so at least from this perspective, I can give some information:

    • bitcoin poker sites have very little traffic - Professional Rakeback works with SWC, the largest by far of all the bitcoin rooms and they are ranked 46th of 67 online poker rooms tracked at www.pokerscout.com which tracks cash game traffic on most online poker networks. Currently they peaked at 183 players yesterday with a 7 day average over all times of 80 cash game players on the tables. This makes it hard to sell, little action, most of it small and thus small rake.
    • bitcoin poker sites have very low rake - Seals for example charges half the price of most fiat poker sites in rake. Which means the clients we do sign up produce less revenue, which gives us less revenue, which doesn't give us much incentive to push them very hard.
    • bitcoin poker sites have poor commissions - SWC for example only pays 20% commission, on those reduced amounts of rake. So we literally make 4x as much at most of our other fiat sites per client. They also do not give any commission for tournament and sit and go fees collected, further reducing our take.
    • bitcoin poker sites require lots of support - people who are interested want to play 20 questions about how to use bitcoin, needing an education about it... and then another 20 more questions about the future of bitcoin gambling and is the site "safe"... and still another 20 questions about the volatility of the currency whether it be speculating bragging or crying about such fluctuations

All in all, it's not been a terribly good or profitable thing for us. We mostly just have them for people who request it directly and whatever people we can pick up in by direct search. Our support and sales rarely try to get people to sign up there because of the aforementioned reasons. Whatever btc we get we stockpile though. It is kinda fun in that regard... to have a small investment in btc from our earnings... just in case it ever has any real value.

    Loyal players,

Quote: "Effective immediately, SealsWithClubs will cease providing Bitcoin poker and will be shutting down all operations except to allow player funds to be withdrawn for a limited period of time. SealsWithClubs is, and has been, completely solvent up to this point in operations."

So, it seems BitCoin business do not work well, as for now.
However, in the future, some online casinos will adapt BitCoin uploads.
