    Default Bwin affiliates read urgently

    As discussed in other thread:
if you promote bwin anywhere and also grey operators in NJ (and in NV probably as well), you have 24 hours to either remove bwin or the US offshore bookies from NJ (NV).

Check your email if you were affected. Otherwise they close account.

Yes, the message received today says:

    Dear Affiliate,

Our internal compliance team has audited your websites and we have noticed that you are promoting unlicensed US betting sites (please see approved operators: https://www.nj.gov/oag/ge/sportsbetting.html) to individuals located in New Jersey, USA. In order to continue working with GVC and its brands, you need to take down all links of non-approved operators.

Please let us know when this is done by replying back to this email.

If you continue to promote non-approved operators to individuals located in New Jersey, then unfortunately we will have to close your account as per compliance. We apologize for the short notice, but please do get back to us confirming all changes before 12 pm UK time Wednesday the 27th February 2019.
It would be good to know however which are these "unlicensed US betting sites" falling under the radar. OK, 5Dimes and Bovada are easy to guess but what about anything else e.g. all those crypto sportsbooks? Supposing GVC scan with the Rightlander tool putting a public blacklist would help...

actually many cryptos do not accept US traffic, so IMO they should be ok
bovada should be ok as well, because they do not accept NJ, but apparently they can kill you

Well, "unlicensed US betting site"" as defined by GVC is a joke of a term and legal nonsense in the case. Who can say if some site is "US" or not? Intertops is not an US site for sure although I guess flagged for taking Americans... Compliance check should be about "sites accepting players from NJ without a NJ license" but that's too hard for the Rightlander spider, I guess they've just marked to browse for the most popular offshore names on the US market and that's all. It would be much easier to give that list of brands making a problem.

Who can say if some site is "US" or not?
GVC will say it. After the ban. Whole this thing (one day limit to change something that is totally unenforceable by EU court) is a joke. It is best not to look for a logic.

The AM originally told me to change whole US ads setup, which I refused, because even he did not understood the text from the compliance dpt.

Anwyay, I took some care hopefully to be enough. My site in question is not targeting the US but it had featured Bovada, 5Dimes and Intertops among all other bookies. I guess (but only can guess as GVC says nothing certain) these were the problem. I get practically nothing from these so no problem to remove them. Not that bwin are so dear to me either but bet365 are going big too in the US and that's something I have to do soon or later...

Don't do anything with them and unable to log into our account for ages although not closed. US is excluded to not direct any traffic to the US.

My guess would be any site that doesn't have a local NJ or NV license falls under "unlicensed".

Almost no website in the world has NJ licence. That definition makes no sense. For example Bovada does not have NJ licence and also does NOT accept NJ customers therefore should absolutely NOT be on the list.
