I don't think they are stupid, not at all. I do think they sometimes play the dumb card at their convenience, get ridiculous amounts of money, and will continue to do so until there is nothing left.

Valid point. Although one could argue that destroying a profitable industry which provides jobs for thousands of people, and contributes huge amounts of tax dollars to a country that needs the money, is pretty stupid. And all because of personal issues they project upon society.

It’s amazing to see how many jobs are being cut in the UK. The gambling industry there seems to be shrinking rapidly, and I wouldn’t be surprised if, within the next 1–2 years, we’re left with only a handful of major operators.


The use of terms like “epidemic problem gambling” also shows how UK politicians keep missing the wider issue. At some point, this becomes a question of personal freedom and privacy as well. Adults are increasingly being treated as if they cannot make their own decisions and must be constantly monitored and controlled.


It’s a real shame to see the market moving in this direction.

Shame on Vicky Foxcroft and the UK gambling commission. These horrible people who are selfish and are only doing harm to our already weakened industry, just disgusts me and makes me feel absolutely sick. Always appreciate the show and effort JT.
