    Default Campaign Tracking

I've been wondering for some time how to track the success (or otherwise) of traffic I sent to InterCasino and I'd just assumed that you have no campaign tracking methods. Seems I was wrong as I've just discovered the 'creative tracking code' in your site's FAQ.

I'd like a bit more info on how these codes work. Are they created/stored anywhere in my affiliate account (on your system) or do I simply create an XL sheet and keep a record of which codes relates to which campaigns?

The info on your site isn't great, I'm afraid, for these tracking codes. Am I right in understanding that these are in the format of intercasino.co.uk/index.html?03848606|12345 where '12345' is my own allocated campaign ref?

I saw reference on your site that these tracking codes need to be five figures in length and between 01460 - 01480? Is this correct?

    Thanks.

    Hi FictionNet,

This ID you are referring to is essentially a 'banner ID'; we don't have 'campaign trackers' as such currently. These ID's are auto-generated buy the system and allow you to differentiate between your campaigns within your PartnerLogic account.

If you go to 'Report Generator' > 'Marketing/Banner Report' you can get impression/clickthrough statistics seperated by 'Creative (banner) ID'.

As you have mentioned, this is neither the best, nor most functionality-laden of affiliate tools at the moment.

We have also recognised this, and as such, the affiliate team here have been working very hard over the last few months to integrate with Income Access who will very soon be providing our back-end technology. So this and many other essential tools will be available and top-of the range for all of our affiliates

If you have any other questions, please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Tom

Ooh, okay. I look forward to seeing this. It'll be interesting to see how well this works and how easy it is to use - especially as I don't find Income Access very easy to use for tracking campaigns either!

As an existing affiliate of IA, will this update mean that I'll be promoting the likes of Intercasino via my IA account?

If you have any problems finding information within the IA reporting tool, I'd recommend speaking to any of the IA guys who are more than helpful (and very clued up) and I am sure they could provide a guide for you.

When we launch this new reporting tool, I understand that some of the features may be new or not totally familiar for some affilaites, so I will be producing a series of 'How to' videos myself to help that will be available on-site.

Your account will be separate from any other IA programme, as we are only using their back-end/reporting functionality, so you will need to log into your PL account to get any reporting data.

However, there are some api's out there that offer the ability to be able to access all of your affiliate programme details in 1 place, such as statsremote.com, so that might be worth having a look into.

    Thanks,

    Tom
