    Default Campaigns on Facebook

I was trying to run some ads on Facebook for my bingo page, and these were denied. One was a Likes campaign for the page, another was a PPC type campaign for the website. The likes campaign ran for a day before it was denied, and once denied the Likes gained were actually removed, yet no reimbursement.

I was prompted to read the T&C's regarding gambling and since they say that you need prior approval I got in touch and this is the response I got:

    Thanks for your email.
Ads that promote or facilitate online real money gambling (featuring an entry fee, an event of chance, and a prize or payout) and all games or contests of skill (featuring an entry fee, a skill contest, and a prize or payout) are only permitted with prior approval from Facebook.

Gambling advertising on Facebook is restricted to regulated gambling markets only and to businesses that have a license relevant to the marker they are wishing to advertise in.
Please be advised that we are only able to approve the submissions of gambling advertisers who meet our minimum $ 50,000 per month spending threshold.

Facebook does not work with affiliate companies and can only allow advertising for the company with the relevant B2C license.

    Thanks for contacting Facebook,

I had read elsewhere that some people had been told $10,000, others $30,000....now its $50,000???

What a joke! Facebook can stuff it.

Yikes, worst thing is that they removed the likes you'd already paid for, that's pretty naughty of them I'd say. End of the day they should either leave the likes alone of refund your money. Facebook sound like real bastards with stuff like this, it's scary really as there are some big affiliates who do the facebook thing as their primary source of income and I'd be waking up terrified every day that FB had decided to delete my group.

Exactly, they kept my money and removed the likes which isn't very ethical since the ad was allowed to run in the first place, and then removed.
Yes, Ive seen a few pages with thousands of likes disappear from one day to the next.

Search here on the forum. There are multiple topics about advertising on Facebook.

I've read about other people that had there campaign banned, but I didn't know that they also removed the likes...

I created a Facebook add myself once. But it never got approved. That is better then paying and then loosing your likes.
