Not Google (so they say) but others still do.
Keep your keyword meta tag, it doesn't hurt does it?

No, but the meta keywords tag does have a new use - for many people it's evolved into a place to store article tags (for internal reference, not for the SE's).

I know it has no effect, but I still include them. I'm not really sure why. It feels wrong to leave them out.

Thanks all.......
No, Google doesn't look for the meta keywords due to the keyword spamming.
Yahoo still credits them, but they say it has a lower ranking impact even than mentioning the same words in the body text. But then again every little bit counts. I also include them out of habit, doesn't take more than 30 seconds anyways.
Consider it an insurance policy just in case they do decide to start using it once again.Q: Does this mean that Google will always ignore the keywords meta tag?
A: It's possible that Google could use this information in the future, but it's unlikely. Google has ignored the keyword meta tag for years and currently we see no need to change that policy.
No Google only use Meta title and description.
Google doesnt but other search engine might still use it. Using 4-5 most relevant keywords in meta tag would never hurt.

I totally agree with you. Title has got an important weight. Targeted keywords should both be on the H1 title and title of you main page.
Personally I feel that keyword meta tags also helps you keep a track of which keywords are targeted on which page. Sometimes if you have a very big website, it would help to just pull the keywords from that and plan the keyword strategy.
No harm if you put them though.

Something else I've noticed recently is that social bookmarking sites often pull the keywords data to use as tags. So the keywords tag could indirectly help with the serps.
